COD4 or HALO 3? Which do you prefer? - Page 7

you know what pisses me off (maybe this should go in the pet peeves thread)? when you are playing sabatoge, and the bomb is planted and you die, then you go around and see your teammates just hanging out camping and not going for the damn bomb. it's like, what the hell? go defuse the thing. don't sit there and camp, cause the other team is defending the bomb. then you respawn run in to defuse and get shot from 8 different directions by all the defenders.

Its called an opinion. Get over yourselves fools. Personally, I don't think one is better than the other and I'm still a little ticked off at the Halo bashing fanboys that told me I must get COD4 because its the best thing since the polio vaccine. Meanwhile there's no co-op, I can't join friend's games and when I find a good group the host leaves. In other words, I can't do all the things I liked about Halo.

Call of Duty 4 is easily better than Halo 3. The online is more fun because its more than just doing the same thing in every game(more in depth i guess is what I'm trying to say), and the campaign in COD4 is the most fun campaign I have ever played. And the Halo 3 campaign isn't very fun after the first few minutes.

I don't see how it can be called more in depth. Halo 3 and COD4 have several similar game modes, and Halo 3 actually has more unique game modes than COD4 does. Halo has Forge and Custom games where COD4 simply has custom games that are also a lot more limited in their customizability. Halo has Theater.
COD4 campaign is fun, but I don't see why Halo 3 isn't as fun if not more fun. Halo campaign offers up to 4 person co-op, COD4 has no co-op. Both campaigns are very short, and both are relatively easy, even on their hardest difficulties. Both offer unlockable extras that serve to make the campaign more interesting.
So it's always going to be a matter of preference on which game you like more, but in my honest opinion, Halo 3 has a lot more to offer.

From my observations of watching this thread is in most cases basically the older gamers like myself perfer COD and the younger gamers perfer Halo almost split right down the middle.

I don't know how young you mean but i'm not even 20 yet and i absolutely despise H3 i remember waiting in a queue to buy it, got it home and was completely dissappointed it was so different and weird to play yet COD4 is the complete opposite everything works on it and i still play over again.

Yeah, a lot of my friends are that way, and we're mostly still in high school... The ones that don't like Halo play a lot of COD4 and Rainbow Six, #2 is gonna be awesome though. I like both Halo 3 and COD4, can't really choose a winner because they both have so much to offer.
