Default This is Balls!

I pick up a new Xbox 360 (premium holiday bundle), Lot# 0740 and start hooking that puppy up. Everythings good to go, I press the power button, and what do you know, 3 flashing red lights. This is ****ing balls! Right outta the box it doesn't work! I bought Xbox 360 believing all that crap like they've been working out the hardware failures and whatnot. All I wanna do is play, now I have to wait a month until it gets repaired. I really wanted to believe that MS has gotten their act together but now I donno. What the hell should I do? I've already contacted the support team? But is this gunna be some reoccuring bull****?

Right out of the box? Are you sure you hooked everything up right? Is the switch turned the right way on the VGA cables?

umm... did you try any other tv's or wall sockets?

It wouldn't even power on. I tried two different sockets. I had a orange (or amber colour) light on the back of the power block. The console sounded like it was turning on and then just conked out. Now I don't get anything from it just the continuous red flashing lights.

Where did you get the system from? Because you should just be able to return everything to where you got it and the'll swap you a new one!

I got it from Target in the States, well my relatives that live there did. I'm from Canada and theres no Targets here. I didn't think the store would have an impact though, and it may not have.

If you bought it broken surely you can return it to the store and they can get a replacement unit for their own stock (since it was broken on delivery).

I might just drive to Buffalo since im in the Toronto area and see if I can swap it at the first Target store I come across. I have the receipt still. That way I'll get a new one in a day rather than waiting a couple weeks.

NICE! I just called Buffalo's Target, and they'll let me exchange it! It'll be a couple hour drive but worth it for sure!
