Default xbox 360 question

Hi,

I'm think about getting a xbox 360, and I've Google'd about it, and read a lot about rrod problems, and boxes dying. Whether this is just a vocal minority, I don't know...

Which brings me to my question. How many of you are on your first console / had no problems with it?

Thanks.

I'm on my second, but you ahve to remember most of us who are on 2nd or 3rd units hd launch consoles. The units out now seem to be pretty reliable as MS corrected the problems that were plaging the earlier units. So I am comfortable saying your pretty safe to buy a 360 now and not really face the issue of the RROD.

Default Can I buy a regular Xbox

I want an Xbox- Halo3 version. I don’t know anything about the Xbox, and after do some reading I have some questions: What is the difference of Xbox Halo-3 to the other Xbox version besides the green colors? What is the 65 nm CPU? What is the Falcon and Zephyr mother board? Can I buy a regular Xbox and a Halo3 games, or I must buy an Xbox Halo3 Special edition? Please answer me positively. Thank you in advance.

This is funny. How many of us that have had a 360 for a yr are on the first 1 still? Anybody? Not me I have had 1 repaired and when it f**ked up the 2nd time they voided the warranty because I used a Nyko intercooler, and like an idiot told them, now I've bought my second one. Point being the games &Live are superior to anything out there and this and true loyalty (not ignorance) shine through Still love my 360.

The Halo edition is the same as a premium/pro (whatever the are calling it) save the appearance.

I thought it had something extra like an HDMI port or different chip in it. The Halo version that is.

I know that I thought they had 2 but could be wrong. I was sure it was something because I just had to buy a new 360 then later I seen somewhere the Halo edition had something the premium I bought did not. Let me know.

Xbox.com | Xbox 360 - Which Console for You?

The Halo edition comes with a Play and Charge kit and downloadable gamerpics. That's the only non-aesthetic difference.

I'm still on my first console which was probably manufactured a few months after launch. I have had no problems with it except for a little disc scratching (like every console) and it freezes from time to time. Otherwise that's it. I got the RROD once but that was because of a power surge. The new 360's are obviously way better than they were before, they have the BenQ cooling system, and an HDMI port, plus 120gb. You shouldn't have too many problems with the elite. If you're going for a premium, try searching for the one's that were made recently, they'll probably have better performance.

i've been through two here. 1st was just over 12 months old bought mar 06 died apr 07, new one have been criusing along since then. No problems what so ever. Glad i bought extended warranty so i just swapped it for a completely new one. Mine runs here in the 40+ degree celsius summer weather without any worries.
