Sony Compares PS3 to Xbox 360 and Wii - Bashes Both

Sony sent a press release yesterday to talk about holiday sales. Although the company didn't talk about its last place in the console wars, it focused the entire press release about comparing its entry model with the Xbox 360 Arcade unit.

while mostly true, they are forgetting one thing. Gaming! they lack great gaming outside of like 5 games a year. i think if they could land more exclusives they could really beat the 360 and the WII. until then, their sales are going to be sluggish. IMHO!

dude are you serious.

what games have come out on the 360 this year that haven't come out on the ps3. Mass effect, gears of war 2, fable 2, and left 4 dead. those are the only good ones anyway. Andt he ps3 has resistance 2, metal gear solid 4, littlebigplanet, and valkyria chronicles come out this year that for the most part match or exceed those games released on the 360. Seriously how are there only 5 good games that came out on ps3 this year that makes no since. Theres 5 amazing exclusives as well as every other good game that came out on 360 as well.

I think the argument that the 360 is currently the better "gaming" machine is one held by most of the gaming community, what may happen in the future is a different story but as of today, if you want to play the best exclusives and the "best versions" of multi-console titles the Xbox is the first choice.

As of today there are around 150+ Xbox 360 exclusives and 25+ Playstation 3 exclusives, with not a single multi-console game being better on the PS3, some being equal but the slider is in majority of the 360 by far. The four games you listed above are probably the top selling 360 exclusives of 2008 but nowhere near the only good ones; on the other hand of the 4 PS3 games mentioned only 2 sold well and VC is good only to hardcore strategy gamers.

Anyhow this debate could go round and round, it all comes down to personal preference and software tastes; that's why I own both, but if it had to be only one system and gaming was the priority I would choose the Xbox 360 hands-down, and am pretty sure I can win any argument on the topic...

I'm not even going to go into online gaming and price point!

I must say that the PS3 is ok but compare games especially when its out on both consoles the Xbox 360 version is better and when it comes to exclusive its not even close halo3, gears of war 2, left 4 dead, fable 2 have outsold more than any other PS3 exclusives point blank..now not saying that the PS3 isn't good in fact give it 2 more years and PS3 probably will be the dominant console out there (unless xbox comes up with something else) but right now and probably next year also its not even close.....oh and by the way you have to pay $50 to get 13 months xbox live gold and the online game in PS3 is free but xbox 360 still is the most dominant online console out of PS3 and the Wii......so that has to tell you something...oh and outside of MGS the other games in the PS3 are ok trust me I own a PS3 and have most of the PS3 games. but people have their ONW opinions.
