I've seen the in-game footage and the physics didn't appeal to me, seemed arcade-like. Graphics on the other hand, were amazing.. truly next-gen.

The trailer looks great, but trailers always look great, so I can't really go into further details of what I thought about it.

Physics from what I had seen in previous videos are messing with my MIND!!! Looking forward to Forza Motorsport 2 @ end of MAY!!! Woot Woot.

It will be out in June. The demo has already been sent to MS. And if you search around Utube a little more you will see peeps actually playing the game. There will be no multiplayer head to head racing, only a lobby where times are posted and you get to try to beat them and the most shocking is that there is no tire choice options.

No multiplayer???? This might be a rental instead of a purchase in that case.

I didnt say no multiplayer, I said that they will have multiplayer, the trick is that they will only have it in ralley and hill climb, which mean no head to head racing. You will be in a room where times are recorded and you have to beat them. Now that being said I agree that there is basically no multiplayer, they still consider this multiplayer. I am only pointing this out because I dont want to be blamed for saying there is no multiplayer when technically there is.

I'm actually really pleased they are doing it PROPERLY, and not just going the crappy Sega Rally way of sticking 4 cars on track at once...blech.

Sim or not, it's an Xbox game! Quality online multiplayer is what sets the 360 apart from other systems. I'm not saying doing it "properly" is a good thing or a bad thing. I'm just saying it strongly affects my purchase decision.

You're probably right. It looks like a great game, regardless. I think some head-to-head racing would be great though.

I hate to say it scot but this is NOT a ralley game. Sorry but it just isnt. Sure they have ralley but it also has many other racing styles. Im good with the ralley racing being that way, but what about all of these other racing styles they included. You will be racing head to head in this game in many of the modes, why cant you do it against other users? I dont get it really, maybe they should have just focused on ralley if that all that works online. The game is basically handicapped in that way, almost unfinished feeling.

Lots of folks are not considering it a sim even. More of a sim/arcade style racer. And this isnt just because of the physics that people are calling arcady. After all you cant even select tire types. That btw is the singlemost fundamental decision to be made in offroad racing. You hear the interviews with these guys all the time blaming their whole race on poor tire selection. That goes for the announcers as well, commonly noting poor tire selection.

Ok, that being said, I may sound like a hypocrite about now but I will definately be buying this one. It should be loads of fun and codemasters makes great racing games.

I am intrigued by this game, I tend to like this type of race game over all others. So for me this game will be a definite rent and then decide if I puchase it.
