And I've never played a game with my wheel where you CAN'T tell the difference between FWD and RWD.
With the DiRT standard Force Feedback settings (on PC mind), they are actually lower than any sim I've ever played. And the FFB tech in my wheel is far more advanced than the Wireless wheel.

Posts: 3,282 | Ugh. If memory serves, I turned up the FFB settings for both FM2 and Dirt. I was very happy with the wheel and FM2 combo.
Anyway, out of curiousity, who's brake pads are you running? I see the Tilton sticker, which means you're using my materials in your clutch , but then again, just about every quality race clutch manufacturer installs our materials.

I can even get bumped with the chassis upset going into a corner, and hammer it instantly and stick the car. So the idea that you can't take a 2000lb dirt car in and hammer the gas around a corner is silly. Anyone that's raced on dirt and pavement knows dirt is very forgiving.
It's not the force of the wheel, it's how it reacts to the bumps in the road. I'm sorry, anyone who has used the wheel on Forza knows it sucks, that's why no one uses it on Forza. Many people have bought the wheel and got rid of it because it sucked on that game. I almost did. Then I popped it into Dirt and I couldn't believe how much better it was. I can tell the diff on a front wheel drive car and a RWD car with the wheel. The asphault racing feels more legit.
PC games suck because your in front of a pc monitor. I dont care if it's a 30 inch, it doesn't compare to a HD widescreen in front of you. Your also limited to how much you spend on your computer to get it to process everything. We're talking about a 300 dollar machine pushing out that kind of technology. It's impressive.
DIRT feedback on high shakes the wheel out of my hand and makes the bolts shake on my playseats and Forza, I dont even know it's on half the time, even on high. I can feel the road, not just the bumps with dirt. So you're statement is incorrect. | Just because the FFB reactions are more violent, doesn't mean that they are more realistic. Even if DIRT was realistic(it's not) it would have to have more violent reaction that FM2 because it's RALLY RACING!
Yes, MS Wheel isn't great but it doesn't suck. I have it so I can race FM2, and use it for my real sims on PC. Otherwise I'd have Logitech. People don't return it because it sucks with FM2, they return it because the axes get thrown off or the bearing housing loosens.
PC racing games are the only racing sims! How can you say they suck LOL? Play LFS, RB Rally and tell me that they suck LMAO. There are no racing games on any console that are actually sims. FM2 isn't a sim and DIRT sure as hell isn't a sim. |

One thing I missed when I read your post.
Do you know the system requirements for Live for Speed, the most accurate driving model ever created? 1Ghz P3, 256Mb RAM...yeah, now what's your excuse for PC games sucking? Heck, I don't know of a PC that can't run it with over 30fps. And yet, it's easily the best...weird, huh?
If you were a real realism nut, you would have none that PC games virtually rape console games into next week in terms of playability and realism. Live for Speed + G25
Nothing on console even comes close...

Posts: 73 | I actually run Tilton clutch and brake pedals and bellhousing. Might be some of your material in the clutch discs.
I just ran a race on dirt and clipped a K-rail. The left front wheel was wobbling. I watched the replay and the wheel is actually wobbling while I'm racing. To process that information plus the suspension movement is amazing. Hitting it on slow cam is unreal. I'll challenge anyone to race a truck race and watch the replay mode clicking on slow cam off the jumps and in roll. Tell me that isn't killer stuff. The "best" racing experience doesn't always go to the most realistic. Although I believe dirt is very good at that. |
