Posts: 44 | Is it me or do the Need for Speed games have frame rate issues? I come from the PC gaming side and am fairly new to the 360. I have NFS Most Wanted, and I played the NFS Carbon demo on the PC. My computer is by no means a monster anymore.... It's a P4 2.8 with a gig of ram and a ATI Radeon X850 XT PE. With NFS Pro Street coming out, I was kinda eager to see what Most Wanted a Carbon look like on the 360.....I was very disappointed when I downloaded the the demos. The frame rate looks horrible, especially compared to Forza 2 which is silky smooth.
Am I the only that feels the frame rate of these games is not up to par, or is there anyone else that feels the same way. Really makes me wonder how well Pro Street will run. The game play trailers I have seen so far look about as jerky as what I have seen from the demos of the two older games on the 360.
Here I thought I never have to worry about jerky frame rates anymore once moving to the 360.
Do the full games run better?
Thanks for any input! |

EA GAMES!!!
Theres your answer.
But if you wait, EA games this year will run at TWICE the speed as last year, so expect 20 FPS!

Posts: 2,650 | Most games run awesome, better than PC. There are 2 problems 1. You are talking about a demo, there not as good as full games 2. Your talking EA trash. |

Posts: 5,352 | If it's anything like Carbon no. How about a change rather than replicate Most Wanted. I never encountered frame rate issues on NFS MW but I've never played Carbon. |

Posts: 886 | I was playing the Gamecube versions before I had a XB1, and I remember the XB1 versions were the best, GC was second and PS2 was third for graphics etc. I remember clearing seeing the visuals difference with Most Wanted.
But I am so over that style of game anyway.

Posts: 44 | To me the only interesting part besides damage, is the drag racing.
I guess I'll wait and see. |

Posts: 2,824 | That was a cool ass aspect in NFSU. The capability of blowing your engine e.t.c. Carbon doesn't have drag racing which sucks. |

Posts: 2,824 | Just played the Pro Street demo and it sucked to say the least. There are numerous things that I have found to be **** while playing for about 10 minutes.
First, the feeling of "speed" is so far off it's ridiculous. Going around turns at 95+ MPH felt like I was going around at about 20.
Next, the controllability and physics of the car was not even remotely close to decent. Whether my speed was 50 MPH or 100+, the car felt like it was on ice the whole time and I had no feeling or any resemblance of acceleration.
The graphics were okay when rammed the M3 into a cliff and stopped to take a look but unnoticeable when attempting to drive.
Of course, this is Need For Speed we're talking here and it's always been the arcadey, no skill whatsoever style, but it's almost unbearable to play. I wouldn't even consider renting this. |

Posts: 44 | I just posted my impressins in the impressions forum, and I am agreeing with you on this one Josh. 60 bones is too much money, the only cool aspect that would tempt me into buying this is the drag racing, but of course, they didn't include that in the demo. |
