Default Formula One 2008

Has anyone got any info about a possible Formula One game being released for the 360?

I think EA bought the rights so you'll see it across all platforms FINALLY!

No one has confirmed to acquiring the rights, but as little Karma over there said EA is most likely.

I played 2007 on a friend's PS3... somwhat impressive... well, some aspects, but really, to me at least, it's like the same thing going on since GP2... the same game with the recent tracks and drivers and better framerate.

I am a huge racing game fan... and an even bigger F-1 fan... yet somehow over the years the F-1 games have not been good to me... ha, ha, ha... I really don't enjoy them as much... I remember going half a season in GP2000 on PS1... it was brutal!, ha, ha, ha.

But if the PS3 game is a reference for this, I played it and HONESTLY saw nothing that impressed me that much... basicly the same as a PC F1 game.

i am a huge f1 fan and im sure i would buy the game but after playing on my buddies ps3 i found there was a high learning curve and i couldnt just barrel through the course ... also gettig into a wreck ends your race which isnt cool after spending so much time qualifying and such ... but it is realistic i wish there was an arcade kind of mode

If EA gets the license you can count on an arcade mode. For better or for worse, they try to appeal to the broadest audience possible.

I'm sure the crappy PS3 controllers didn't help.

That's the whole thing about F1 games... the realism... a touch between cars, race over, go over a chicane, suspension broken... too much wing loose a ton of speed, the car setup is critical... console versions are not as anal about detail as PC f1 simulators (stuff such as car fragility, fuel/pit strategy, soft/hard compounds are much more involved)... and is one of the reasons hardcore F1 gamers like them I think.

I hope it doesn't have that arcade ****. I want realism! It won't be up to par with PC realism, but hopefully it can get close. Having a sim/arcade racer sucks because it is just half-assed. Either make a damn good sim or a damn good arcade, not both of them half-assed into one.

Physically impossible. They would have to whole-ass arcade, and whole-ass sim. Unless they have two asses I don't see this happening.
