Posts: 670 | This one is going to destroy this for you G25 boys, but I dont thing the gated shifter is not supported, just the tiptronic sequential. I know after I get my G25 I will be spoiled and it would almost destroy it for me.

Scotracer, did you see that you can win a BMW if you post a fast enough time. Then you will be invited to a party in where you will have to win a live race to get the car. I hope you could pull it off.
For Americans its the same thing only you can win the Ebay Mustang.

Posts: 3,233 | There's two reasons why I won't be winning it:
1) I don't like the handling so the chances of me being the fastest with it are slim
2) I don't want to play the demo long enough to be that good to win

Posts: 827 | PS I tried this demo. If you've played Dirt, it handles like Dirt, I mean the game, of course.
I dont like the controls. Graphics were ok, damage is good. Sense of speed is there. I just feel like the cars (especially for drift mode) are too out of control.
I'll still pick it up, with time, I'll be better at the controls. Its definately worth the check out.

But, thats just a opinion. | Well you haven't played GT5P yet, Boosty We had this conversation over Live chat the other day and you said you'd played GTHD...well, GT5P is a big step up from HD in all respects. It is better than Forza.

Posts: 670 | Yes, both use Ego (for breakfast? lol). The new Formula One game will use the same.
I admit Im a bit disapointed that grip racing cant keep up with sliding all over the place. In GRID, out of controll sliding/ebraking is the fastest route. Thank goodness for the fantastic damage that puts this is check a bit.
I did play the demo with two of my non racing buddies, tiger woods friends actually, and we had a total blast.

Yes, I played the GT demo in the store on the PS3, just with the normal controller. I did find the controls quite quirky, but thats appararntly normal with the PS3 analog sticks. The 360's just feel tigher and or stiffer.
I haven't tried the wheel set up, I tried the MS wheel but cant handle using wheels in games, its just faster to waggle your thumb left and right quciker than moving the steering wheel.
I think personally it comes down to the fact I've spent allot of time on Forza 2 and thats kind of shaped my expectation. I should give GT5 a better chance to prove itself.
Maybe Scott, I'll scoot by your place and or charles place next time I am in town and we'll have a go at this game. I'd certainly like to try the set up Charles has as well too.

Posts: 827 | Well I've played more of this demo and to be honest, I just cant come to terms with the damm controls scheme. Its terrible. The car handles like Dirt. Even Dirt wasn't this bad.
I had such high expectations for this game. It looks great, sounds great, but dam it, if that controller doesn't feel right, its game over.
