Default My Disc Cracked! OMG

I put my disc in my xbox 360, and what happens, it cracks. they spread from the center out first on top of the disc then on the bottom. I treated it with special care too, and was very carefull, i did nothing to deserve this. i have no idea what to do i got it 3 months ago and i dont think my warranty will work any more. is this what i will come to expect from electronic arts. has any one else had this problem, what should i do, help me out here, im too poor to buy another one, i had to save up for it. what should i do.

Unhappy

Oh sorry to hear that, what game was it?. The disc was maybe damaged in shipping like maybe someone dropped the game in the store before you bought it and damaged it.

Unless he's posted in the wrong section then he's talking about NFS:MW and the same happened to my CoD2 CD it cracked from the centre out and if you check the Xbox forums a number of other people have complained about the same thing happening to them. What I've read is that it has something to do with the strengh of the CD and taking them in and out of the boxes all the time causing them to start cracking in the middle.

Did any of you guys try and e-mail/call the manufacture like EA or Infinity to see if they will replace discs. It dosen't hurt to ask all they can say is no. If they are a upstanding company they will do right by the consumer so I would give that a shot you shouldn't have to buy a new game when was no fault of your own.

Wow, do you keep your system vertical? and was the disc cold, like icy, not quite "icy" but freezing?

Does anyone think that the CD's in the 360 get a lot warmer than they did in the original Xbox.
Mine do and I would think CD's getting warm and cooling down after being put back in the box can't be healthy for it.
