PlanetXbox360's "Best of" E3 Awards - Feature Up Now!

The 2008 E3 Media and Business Summit is finally in the books, whether or not most people walked away completely satisfied is likely to be debated for months to come. It was back in Los Angeles at the massive Convention Center but only took up about a third of the total floor space. Microsoft had a fairly positive showing with an exciting press conference and a good number of exclusive titles on showing. The rest of the time at the show was spent with third-party developers checking out the upcoming games scheduled to ship later on in 2008 or sometime in 2009. Below we have our cream of the crop, the best of the best from almost every genre of games (minus a few because it was getting too long); after spending a good bit of time with each title in the list, these are the ones that ended up walking away with awards.

looks good. i got nervous when i saw fable 2 instead of fallout 3 for best rpg, but you showed it much love as game of the show. fable 2 does look amazing but fallout 3 just looks like god on a disk.

Ya, it was a tough call between those two but wanted to make sure both go credit; my surprise of the article was "Flower" as best other console game, figured it deserves some love and LBP, Killzone 2, etc. will win plenty of awards!

Fable 2 is my most anticipated by far and one of the main reasons i got a 360 last year. but with all the great titles demo'd at E3, i'm surprised that you almost chose it as best game. that makes me even more excited. as Mike Myers would say, "i am as happy as a little girl!"

Looks good. Only thing I disagree with is Dead Space over Resident Evil 5, but then again I wasn't there to play or see them.

That was the most debated one (besides game of the show), I was really pushing for RE5 but it and Dead Space were side by side; in reality it was a tie but ties don't work in stuff like that so we just went with Dead Space!

Stay tuned for both of them, although I will be out in Redwood Shores in two weeks for a couple days with Dead Space, watch for my report shortly thereafter!

Gotta say, when I first saw Dead Space I was not too excited. However the more I see the better it looks. I'm looking forward to more.

look forward to see what you got coming from dead space. i'm looking forward to dead space but re:5 was #2 behind fallout 3 for me. dead space def looks hot tho. lets see what you bring back next week.
