Here is how to get the Umbra Sword.

Go to Vindasel which is south west of the imperial city on the road circling the Imperial city. Go into that ruin and find the warrior named Umbra then kill her and take the sword and armor.

this is a quest for someone in the game and he says he is keeping an eye on you as you are meant to collect the umbra sword for him so beware, there may be consequences later in the game. (this info was read at ign in their walkthru)

I found the lady with the umbra sword. But i couldnt beat her! Is there anyweapon i should use to try and kill her. I did sneak up behind her and get x6 but i could kill her. HELP!

lol i handed her ass to her and im level 5 darkelf thief barbarion supercombo i killed 3gaurds at level1

Yes it is apart of a quest (Daedric Shrine quests) that you will not get until lvl 20. However, you can turn this in at any time and get rewarded for it, but the reward is useless imo. Its a personally mask that gives you +20 to personality. The only downfall is if you want to complete the shrine quest series you will need to turn this sword in at some point. The beauty of this sword is its weight is 0. You can always turn this weapon in when you get a better one some time down the road.

I killed her my 3rd attempt. My abilities are Blade/block/destruction and a few more spell attributes. I was lvl 15 when I beat her. The first 2 attempts I used my 2-handed weapon/Protection/fire spells and I hardly damaged her. Then I went with my chillrend (+11 frost dmg and lower frost resist per strike) and a shield. I also used my frost touch 25pts dmg and protection spell. I took her down and only lost half my life she was a breeze. So I would have to say she is weak to frost. oh ya I also used my edguard special daily ability which helped alot as well.

Not sure if this helps you out at all cause I am not sure what your character class is. But remember if all else fails you can lower the skill level bar down to easy just to beat her and raise it back up, if you want to go that route.

think my highest are strengh and speed at the moment. Im only a lvl 5. And im a warrior, so i dont think i have good spells. Is there a way to get good spells, cuz they make killing people a lot easier.

It depends on your level and your strength skill. When I got this weapon at lvl 15 it does 25pts of dmg and of course the soul trap ability. The armor kicks ass too.

PS: She is 3 levels higher than whatever your character is when you fight her.
