this is a revival of an old shtyk that came out of the original podcast. love me or hate me, im generally right in my predictions. so go ahead, ask me a question about that-which-has-not-yet-happened, ill give you an answer. keep tabs and you might just be suprised!

we'll start with an easy one. will odst hit a million in sales?

yes, you idiots will push this expansion pack platnum within 60 days of release. my final guess would be around 3 million sales by end of the year. i hope you like to see full priced expansion packs for big games, jerks!

download tax? no, the system in place isnt set up for that so it would require a major overhaul if you talkin about like demos n stuff like that. if your talkin like ur paid itunes n crap like that, im sure there will come a time as bigbox stores slowly start to fade as more peeps get comfortable online, that they will tax.. again, all depends on how long the socialists are in power.

Here's one for ya. With the recent PS3 slim release and price drop there has been a surge in PS3 sales. Will worldwide PS3 sales eventually surpass that of the 360? If so, when?

i actually just read there was a rise in sales with the new slim and the price drop. mostly the price drop.

I think in the end, sales will be close, but the 360 will stay ahead in this generation worldwide. In the US, it will never even be that close. With more people already going "next gen" and getting a 360 and the downturn of the world economy, i dont think nearly as many people will have both top end systems this go-around as they try to save a few bux. There isnt as much incentive to get a ps3 exept for the Br capabilities because MOST games save a few have gone from sony exclusives to multiplatform or MS exclusives. That with the fact that Bluray players are now getting cheaper than ps3's, I think the "ps3 buying surge", is just a surge and will dissipate back to previous 360 to ps3 sales ratios.
Of course, Nintendo doesnt care because their system will always be the cheapest and will continue to sell like hotcakes.

While its still very early, what are your first impressions of Natal? When it releases do you believe it will give 360 sales the kick in the ass MS is hoping for or will it become like all of their other unsuccessful attempts to break into the casual market and become a dumping ground for shovelware?

It will have its fair share of sucky crap. I dont think it will have such a high % of shovelware as nintendo, since nintendo seems to not really support their 3rd party developers well. Just knowing that Peter M is taking this thing seriously, and all the things it can do, I actually have pretty decen hopes for natal. That all depends on if we buy it though, because there isnt much incentive to make a ton of great software for it if its not selling well. With as much as it can do, I think it has the capacity to bring some really awesome stuff our way (as well as mandatory crapware.. ugh!).

well, theyve updated the graphix and made tweaks to the physics engines so i dont see how they would be taking a back step. Forza 3 is on 2 disks now isnt it?

85% chance of Remix having a huge complaint about the new mechwarrior game, no matter how sweet it is to most people. If its not like a true simulator like MW2 and 3 on the computer (MS f'ed up MW4). I know im old, cuz i used to play MW as a BOARD/DICE GAME before there was a vid game

oh... there was an article about it in this months OXM or Gameinformer. Sorry I cant pull it out to find out, as the wifey threw away all my magz when cleaning.

i only had mech 2, ghost bear clan, and mercs (never got into mercs though).
