Default Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII

FINALLY, I have officially selected game number 2 on my MUST HAVE list.

I originally learned to fly in the early 90s thanks to a PC game called battle of britain. Then I moved on to the Wing commander series which led me to a lovely game called Strike Commander and there was a sweet game called Privateer which was a trend setter by being an open ended game format with a main plot being followed and several sub plots and after you won your victory you could keep playing. Then my absolute favorite Flight Games of all time came out, Aces over Europe and X-wing. the X-wing series was followed up by Tie Fighter which gave me a new respect for speed and maneuverability versus firepower and shields. And now for the XBOX 360 a game that looks spectacular!

Nice to hear others enjoy flight games. One of my favorite PC games was European Air War by Microprose.

I just picked up Heroes of the Pacific for my Xbox while I wait for my 360 to arrive next week. It was among Game Informer's top 50 games of 2005 in their latest issue.

I have an auction for a Core System w/hard drive and other extras running on eBay if anyone is interested in playing rather than camping out. Look under seller mdr220846 - I'm not looking to gouge anyone, since until this week I was one of the frustrated masses.

Default check out the gameplay video

http://www.blazing-angels.com/us/
you need to click on GALLERY then Click on VIDEOS have the old Trailer video as well as an AWESOME 4 minute video of actual gameplay. You are flying a fighter over a harbor...you strafe some dock workers and strafe an armored car convoy and have a low level dog fight againsts some fighter/bombers which are attacking a group of Battleships.

My only reservation upon seeing this video is that it looks Too much like Crimson Skies.... I owned Crimson Skes and I got rid of it as soon as I finished it,which was about 13-15 hours of playing. Crimson Skies tried to do something wonderful but they missed the mark as far as i'm concerned. The bad guys were apparently being flown by that top secret I.D.I.O.T. AI system
Well hopefully Blazing Angels will flesh out and be good and not turn out bad.

They changed the name of World Airforce to Over G didnt they? Whatever, it still looks like a great game, they both do. Flight Sims have always looked so good on the PC and now that we have the 360, we have a machine powerful enough to kick out the graphics and gameplay, I hope they dont let us down.
