bioshock question

Haven't been able to pick up bioshock (hasn't got to my country). I am interested though on what live options are there.

Is there co-op story over live?

Has anyone played online yet?

It is a single player only game no co-op or multiplayer.

That sucks, I was expecting online play. I guess I will have to wait till halo 3 then.

I have only played the demo (which was really good) but don't cheat yourself by not playing just for lack of multiplayer. The reviews are very high.

It kills me that BioShock doesn't have multiplayer. I was blown away by the demo, and not it's getting reviews that are describing it as one of the finest games we've seen in a while. I just can't get over no multiplayer. How much replay value can it have?

Still, I'll likely cave eventually and buy it only because it sounds so incredible.

That's the only down side I can see to it. It is supposed to have a really long story mode (somewhere around 20hrs) not 8-10 like most FPS. You could always rent it.

Some games just dont suit mulitplayer, i couldnt imagine small maps set in rapture with people running around with plasmids all over the place would be easy to balance and i doubt it would be fun. Some games just are made for singleplayer, and some are made for multi, its the way it is now shut up you knobs.

Yeah. To have a GR of 96.3% & a Meta score of 97 without any online multi-player options is just stupid ridiculous. It only demonstrates how great the game actually is and online play is not a required feature to sell well and rank high.

I just don't understand why they could not have at least co-op story mode. I can understand why the game might not suit arena kill matches but come on, story co-op?!

Yes, dont discount it till you've played it. Its like saying Zelda should be online multiplayer! Its one of those games that best suited as a pure single player experience. You cant do it co-op (Unless your talking about 4 swords) but you get my point.

Bioshock is a great Single Player game. I finished it and just started playing the single player again, its that damm good.

People seem to forget that games used to all be single player or split screen at best, with no online. Has the world gone that far forward already that single player is being discounted? Or if a game lacks online its also not worthy? I think a great single player experience is still key to a game.

Rent it, buy it, just play it.
In my opinion, Bioshock Single Player is better than Halo 3 single player. Forget co-op etc, I am talking story line and gameplay, I loved Bioshock in comparason to Halo 3.

Yessuh. Some games would be ruined if they had multiplayer. I haven't got Bioshock yet but if MGS ever got multiplayer(it sadly just might in MGS4), I wouldn't touch the online play with it.
