The Orange Box

Well I 'bought' the Orange Box for the PC today, just finished playing few hours of Portal, HalfLife Ep2 and TeamFortress2. And all I can say is Not a single bit of let down, and has to be the best FPS on the 360 if not best game.

Ep2 is nothing short of brilliant, Portal is great craic and so easy to pick up and play, and TeamFortress2 (just tried all maps and characters) is fecking class, the spy, pyro and soldier classes are brilliant, spy is the best so fu***** fun to play. The maps all look great and the cell animation is beautifull, i can see me playing this on Live for months at least.
Only thing is its all team-based and We all know live is full of dicks, so this is a game you need your mates to buy and is soooo much more fun then halo, halo seems like a chore to play now.

My PC is pretty powerfull so it naturally looked great on it, but the 360 can handle the same and has HDR lighting for Ep2 which PC version doesnt have.

Best game of the year, and anyone who has been on the fence deciding wether to buy it or not, ill make this easy BUY THE GAME.

so let me get this straight, includes the full version of half life 2, expansion episode 1 and 2, portal and team fortress 2? for $60? honestly that sounds like quite a deal man, im looking forward to buying it.

Its a fantastic deal if you ask me. Not only is it the best game ever made (Half Life 2 - no arguements) you have access to them all in one package. I'm not sure if this has ever been done on a console before.

I'm more interested in how it plays on the 360, rather than the PC. I haven't been impressed by the screen shots and commercials I've seen.

Neither have I. I've played all Half Life installments and Team Fortress so it really wouldn't be a "new" game at all. Just a rehashed and ported version.

lol, from all the reviews and peoples posts on forums and such, it runs silky smooth on 360.

True that! I remember someone kept saying that Chromehounds was the best game ever. Take what you read in the forums with a grain of salt.

Yeah and I thought id would do a good job on Quake for the 360. Turned out to be a decent **** bomb.

pffft ID done terrible jobs on quake 4 and doom3 on all formats joel, i have doom3 for pc and its MEH.

Doom 3 on the PC was the ****. My Cousin has a beefy machine and it looked amazing. Plus all the mods like attaching the flashlight to your weapon and what not. Sick **** right there

I only played doom3 on xbox but I really enjoyed it. On a high end pc it could only have been better.
I do agree that Quake on 360 was crappy. It felt like a doom 3 expansion pack. nothing new
