Best FPS of all time

What is your favorite FPS ever? I love the Halo series, but Call of Duty always got it right, except for when Treyarch made it...

Never been a huge fan of FPS but there have been some classics that I love. Golden Eye and Perfect Dark for the N64 took up many hours of my youth. One of my favorite games ever is Battlefield: Modern Combat, but I'd prolly have to say my favorite is Call of Duty 4.

-Golden Eye or Dues Ex i would say for the greatest all time

-halo 1 and COD 1 (plus the united offensive expansion pack...now that was an expansion pack) for my favs.

the original Unreal Tournament for PC

I don't think any other game has logged more of my time. I still play it now. No other UT installment is or was ever as good as the original UT. Nothing comes close. I never get tired of it and the mod community really made this game last. Good stuff.

Dues Ex on the PC was pretty cool. And given the power of the ps2, i can only assume the pc version is a lot better.
I'll have to go with gryff on deus ex as best. it sets itself apart from most other fps. good story, which other ones have (like HL or Halo), but also the rpg aspect to it, which most games don't have, or may have, but lack story. and the setting for the game is nice and different.

I did always like the COD series though, and put many hours in online with them (mostly UO and COD2).

goldeneye 007 although it would probrably would suck if i played it now...... As for modern day shooters, half-life 2, halo, and cod are fukn SICK!!!!

Doom/Wolfenstein were great but I never really liked FPS until I played Halo CE.
