My first game system ever! No game yet - what is best game to show off xbox 360?

Please help! I need a really good game because I got myself in a big mess at school now - here is the story.

I am a 13 year old girl from California. My dad bought this new home theater thing last month and I thought it would be neat to have a cool game system to play on it and begged him. He is a bigtime tech nut so we did some research and decided to get a xbox 360 (probably more for him then me!). I am so excited because I have never had a game system before and we just bought it yesterday! I still dont have a game to play on it because my mom said I had to buy one with my own money because she wants me to be responsible or something Anyway I get my first game ever on Firday. What is the best game to get?

Hears the big trouble part!

I went to school today all excited about my new game system and told some friends and then this BIG issue started about xbox 360 not being the best game system to have. I was all excited about getting a new xbox and told the crazy boys that it is the best one and that they are dumb! The truth is that I have not ever even played any game on any game system and dont know anything about it really!!

Now it got all blown up and I am having this big game system competition between Playstation 3, Came Cube and Xbox 360at my house on Sat now. EVERYONE at the whole schol is talking about it and making fun of me cuz I am a girl! I dont care if I am a girl I am excited to play fun games on Xbox 360!! This is what happened.

Jimmy - says he has a "early release" of the system called Playstation 3 because his dad works for some company that makes computer processors in silicone valley or something. Says he has a game called Resistance. He bragged alot and I hear it is hard to get one of these playstations so maybe he lied... but maybe he didnt too!! Why would he bring up having a competition if he didnt have one! Plus another kid was talking about how he plaid it with him.

Derek - Has a Game cube and claims that there are two Zelda games that are better than any games made on Xbox 360 yet. He mentioned something called Wii and that it is going to be WAY better than xbox 360. He is more beleivable cuz he is pretty quiet and stuff and seems honest. He does seem scared about what this new playstation will be like though. THat makes me scared too!

Anyway, now Derek and Jimmy are coming over on Sat night and brining there game systems to play on my dads new home theater against xbox 360. We are having a competition against game systems and ALOT of other kids want to come play and are going to play and vote too - my dad says I can have like 15 people total. The rule is that only one game from each system can be shown..... THat is why I am in trouble cuz I am defgending xbox 360 and never even played it and dont even have a game yet!

My Dad thinks that xbox is the best one because he says it will one day control his whole home theater or something and he says microsoft knows most about software for computers and that it is best because it has a jump start on Playstation and more people have xbox so there will be more games made. I got a little excited and bragged to the whole school that it is best!

The games being shown -

1. Play Station 3 - Resistance. I looked at this on the internet and am getting kind of worried! I hope he lied about it - if he did then I will make him the biggest lieing dork at school!

2. Game Cube - Zelda (he said he had 2 Zelda games that were better. I told him he can only bring one - thats all I know). I looked on the internet, but thheir were alot of Zelda games so I dont know what one he is brining. He said somthing about wii (need to look this up on internet too), but not sure if he has it and besides he said Game cube.

3. Xbox 360 - ???? I have no idea what game to show! Help! I decided to rent the top 3 winning games in this poll on Friday and play them with my dad Fri night. I will pick the one we have the most fun with to show on Saturday at the competition. That will be fun!

The 2 losers have to pay $30 each to the winner to buy a new game with! Thats alot of money for me!!!! Plus i did bragging and pride and stuff. And it is now such a big deal at school..... I want to embaress the other kids sooooo bad because they are being mean to me because I am the only girl.

If I win this then I will use the money to buy the game I use in the competition. Help me win please! These kids that are voting are half boys and half girls from ages 12 - 14. I bet they like games with lots of action and violence that are really fun to play. Do they have games with girls boobs or bad words? The other guys with the game systems said that "game play, sound and graphics" are going to be important in the contest. What is most important is that I show them X-box is best! I also hear that some "tech fighting games" can be too hard at first.

Games I am thinking of after research -

1. Dead Rising
2. Call of Duty 2
3. Saints Row
4. Ghost Recon

Any opinions about a game I havent read about or not listed here would be great too! What game do you think is best?? I wish Halo 3 was out cuz I hear thats gonna be a good one!

Oh.. also my dad has this new HDD Plasma tv and 7.1 surround that we are going to play on and I guess it costs alot of money. Is it true that you cant play these games on plasma tv's because it breaks them? That would be dumb! My dad says its ok because the guys at the best buy home theater place said it was. Why would they make these new HDD game sytems not work with HDD plasma tv's?

Well the game to show off would be oblivion because it is my persomal favorite. But from what you had on the poll i'd go with either GRAW or Dead rising. All the games menitioned are awesome so it's hard to choose.

You got yourself into a pickle real quick.

I would suggest you rent Ghost Recon, Dead Rising and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Ultimately I would go with Ghost Recon, but it is a tactical shooter style game, and I am not sure of your skills.

Look, the PS3 is set to launch on Nov. 17, and the Nintendo Wii on the 19th of November. If he is actually bringing the PS3 WITH Resistance: Fall of Man, then you will have a hard battle before you. Also realize that he should not have a copy of that game and even if he did, will probably not bring it because he should be under an NDA (same goes for the PS3). Regardless, feel free to take pictures and post them here if he does bring one or both.

As for the Nintendo guy, bless his heart, but if he's coming over with a copy of Zelda and a GameCube, he's gonna lose $30 in a hearbeat.

Lastly, you made the right choice with the 360, and tell your dad he is a smart man -- neither you nor he will be disappointed with your choice.

Oh, and battling Playstation fanboys is like dealing with a bad rash; no matter how much ointment you apply, it still continues to itch.

It's not out yet. Therefore, 'the biggest lying dork' at your school.

If you want to show off a game, use Fight Night Round 3. That's what I did with my friends, they couldn't believe what they were seeing was actual gameplay.

As you can see, both Tom Clancy games are at the top, with oblivion. Myself, I would show Splinter Cell, GRAW, and Oblivion. To bad it couldnt wait another three weeks, cause then GoW and maybe RS4:V would be out... But those are my choices.

P.S. Way cool that you got your dad to buy you a 360 on a home theater set up.

I know! I think he does have that game and will bring it though. He showed a friend of mine the box for it atleast and some kids said they playedd it with him!! UGH! My fingers are still crossed that he is lieing. Anyway, I did some research again online and talked to friends... these are the games I am thinking of.

What one do you think has best game play and sound and graphics?

I can rent three... what one's should I rent and check out?

Thank you! I heard Obliviun and Splinter Cell are really good games. might be too slow for these hyper kids! And I keep asking what is better ghost recon or call of duty 2 and people keep saying call of duty is best.

I know - pretty smart about the home theater sell huh!

Is it possible to get a tester of Halo 3 yet.... I hear that one is supposed to be really cool too!!

I will definately be renting that dead rising one! I just watched a demo where the guy found a samari sword and was cutting zombies into pieces! I hate zombie and will have lots of fun killing them in a mall for sure!! Plus I heard you can try on diferent clothes and stuff! COOL! I love to shop too! =) I bet that was a Hanzo sword he found! haha!

Hmm, I reckon some of you aren't listening: Gears of War will NOT be out in time for this shin-dig. So don't even bring it up unless she comes back and states that it has been postponed until after Nov. 12.

Get GR:AW and Fight Night Round 3. Those are the best two for graphics and probably gameplay right now. Dead Rising is fun, but not all too visually impressive.

Ghost Recon, Fight Night Round 3 or Oblivion are the most visually Impresive games Iv seen on the 360, If I had to go with 1 I'd say Ghost Recon, But its for the more experienced gamer.

i would go GRAW or FightNight. Oblivion is awesome too, but if your looking for pure visuals, go for either of the first 2.

As for the PS3. yea right. Hed be the only kid in America to have it. I seriously doubt some chip company would open themselves up for a lawsuit to let a worker take home a ps3 and a game that neither is availible yet. if he does have it... sue his dads company!!!

Besides, the ps3 looks almost exactly the same as the 360, not a real difference.

The nintendo guy.. heheh.. is he like .. 10? he seriously doesnt even stand a chance against anything the 360 has to offer. Its not about "whats your favorite game" is it? its about which looks better. The Nintendo Wii isnt competing against the 360 or PS3, because it doesnt have the technology, even Nintendo said that.

Sorry, but first you're a girl that has never played a game console before. If you get Ghost Recon, you won't be so great at it. It's for really experienced Xbox 360 players and I'm sure many people would agree with me. The easiest ones out of both lists are Dead rising and Call of duty 2. Call of duty 2 doesn't have as magnificent graphics as GRAW though. so go with GRAW, but if you're dad is good at gaming, let him play. It's a real touugh game for beginners.

He didnt want to get Ghost Recon or Call of Duty 2 because he says that we should wait for the new ones Call of Duty 3 and Gears of War for christmas!
