4 Xbox 360 titles confirmed to be native 1080p

It's been a long time coming but I can confirm that 4 up-coming titles are native 1080p:

- Blue Dragon
- Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball 2
- Eternal Sonata (Trusty Bell)
- Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

This will come as a great shock to Sony, who proported their superior HD capabilities to the extreme.

Blue Dragon runs in 1080p (if you have the pricey kit), but even in 720p (the not-quite-so-pricey kit we're playing on) it looks good enough to give our retinas an anatomy-defying orgasm. There are huge wilderness areas with lovely elemental effects on show, contrasting with intricately designed villages, towns, and bulbous spaceships. It's a world full of rich colour - but more importantly, it has a consistency that's rarely seen outside of Nintendo's finest Zelda games.

i was just thinking about when MS was going to give us native 1080p games..hmm.. do u think the rumors that lost planet could be coming with a hdmi cable could be based on some truth?..thanx for the post scotracer great find

I don't know if Aquanox is a traitor... his sig clearly points out that GoW will "own your life", but he should at least be interogated severely. I was a member of the PS3forums at one point too. But I was just there to piss people off and create flame wars. This was back in Sept. of `05.

1080p -- that elusive yet unnecessary output for gaming... we meet again...

I would love to see you guys lasting nearly two years unconditionaly supporting the 360 in hostile territory before saying that.

The only reason I can't post here anymore is because being me such an Xbox fan, dealing with Playstation fan(atics)s is a full time job over there. Of course there are many, and I mean many AAA posters there but the trolling is unconditionally present as well.

You should go visit the Xbox 360 section over there somtime. There have been tons of people converting lately and even (admitedly) PS fanboys becoming Xbox 360 loyal followers and eventually defenders. You can even find people starting new threads just to thank the strong Xbox group built there that helped them "opening their eyes" (using their own words) to a great new experience that is the Xbox 360 + Live and its amazing library. (Not even let me started with the upcoming titles)

I helped a bit here, giving some ideas with my forums experience gained over the time. Fortunately, Matt and his staff catched up really quick and ran this site so well that it ended up being where it is now.

I respect people helping the Xbox Community grow whathever way they chose and I could certainly use some back specially after doing so in one of the most difficult places you could imagine to perform such job.

Really? I thought DOAX2 was only 720p and 1080i? Weird.

I think 1080p is overrated. It shows more flaws in the game than positive, also if V-Sync tearing is happening in 720p then i can see 1080p being a nightmare for developers.
