Is guitar hero II a buy

I am thinking of picking this game up today, is it worth buying or should I just pass on it. I read the reviews and looks good. I just want to get some px360 members views on it.

I bought it and I think this game is awesome...

It really keeps you playing. It's hard to put it down because you just want to play every song.

If you have never played Guitar Hero before, (like me) you'll find that hard and expert are very ****ing hard, so it takes some practice. Other than that, this game is a definite must buy in my opinion.

I give it a 4 out of 5.

I love it. the GF loves it too.
It's the ultimate party game. Get some friends over with a bunch of beers and the hours will fly by. Fun fun game.

And playing through songs you wouldn't normally listen to really expands your music tastes. You'll find yourself having a greater appreciation for them and actually really liking some of them too.

to be honest i was always interested in this title. Release day came and i played it quickly at my local store and i must have picked a hard song cause i found it stupidly hard !!! Not to be outdone i returned to the store and chose the first song (i think it was? the cheap trick song) well i played through the whole song and thought it was kick ass !!!! I am sure you learn and are able to play the harder songs after some practice.

So after that it made me want the game and now no freakin stores in town have it in stock, so hopefully more will come in this week to curve my obsession after playing it.

Of course now i read that quite a few ppl have been reporting that its screwing up their xbox which just throws another spanner in the works. Oh well i do still have my 1 year store warranty :P

Buy it if u like rock music. Buy it if you have played Guitar hero on ps2 and liked it. Buy it if you just want to have fun when your bored. Im loving it. so i reccomned it.

I got it about a week and a half ago and I love it. Easy and Medium you pretty much catch onto in the first few days you play but I am still a newbie to the Hard stage. Havent even thought of Expert yet. But like everyone says, just need some practice and your all set.

One thing though, you dont get to play all 70 tracks right out of the box. You have to either win each level of difficulty and or buy them through the store in the game with money you win from the gigs you perform.

Good news is their is a code that unlocks everything so you should be ok. I personally havent tried it but thats just cuz I want to see if I can get them on my own. Believe me though, you will ROCK HARD on the XBOX 360 version.

It's definitely a great game. I'm not so worried about not having all 70 songs unlocked out of the box. I kinda like the challenge and reward of unlocking them as I go. Definitely found some new tunes that I would never have listened to before. Anybody out there beat Buckethead's "Jordan" on expert? I'd probably do better playing it on my real guitar than on this game!

LOL i dought many have beaten Jordan on Expert. I havnt even made it to expert. im still stuck on hard. I am improving though.. Much much fun!!

i gotta say, this bad boy is in short supply at least in my town. All of the EB Games, and local game stores are sold out and have not had any shipments in since launch. Futureshop (canadian version of best buy) even took it off of their website

(generally they just say out of stock if something is sold out)

ahh well, it saved me over $100 i guess ! Maybe i'll be over it by the time its finally available ;P

Yeah man, the Future shop in my area(Toronto) was sold out too. I just grabbed it at the EB Games. There were tons. probably about 50 units.

yeah we have 2 local EB Games and they generally suck. Actually Wal*Mart is usually my safest bet for games and they did get some on launch but havent had any in a while. When i call EB Games to check if they have it they generally give me a rude laugh and say no they dont have any, and havent had any since the first batch they got on launch. Geeez anyone would think i was trying to find a 360 on launch day :P

It's actually pretty crazy. I think I got a 27%! LOL My brother kinda talked me into trying that one on expert one day and I've been obsessed with it ever since. If you make it to the solo in the middle, you will probably wonder why exactly the developers chose to make an achievement for this song.

Actually, the only achievement should be beating this song on expert! LOL Catch you rawkers online when GH 3 comes out!

FOR SURE. This game rocks. (no pun intended) I had never played the GH 1 and got GH 2 for Xmas. Santa bought it for me. Strap on the axe and jump around in front of the box. Always wanted to be a Guitar Hero. Sorry bout that. BUY IT.
