@Don,

the demo sucked and was boring because it was just the first level, and not even all of it. Overall the game is addicting and very realistic, and its actually the first game I've ever played through extremely slowly to make sure I don't miss any part of the game. I've probably only played about 5-7 hours of total game play time and I'm still in the third level. The Big Daddy fights are interesting and tough.

The thing I like about BioShock is that you will play the game totally different than everyone else. On any given level there will be things that you find that your friends might have not, and vice-versa.

All in all, at least rent this game. Give it a chance, even if it doesn't have the all powerful and absolutely MULTIPLAYER. Tbh, if the producers had spent a couple more months on testing and configuring the multiplayer modes, it would have just ended up terribly and it would've pushed back the release.

I just played the demo. I think it has the suspense atmosphere like F.E.A.R. in the beginning. You have no idea whats going on or what your going up against.

Bought it yesterday, im a few hours in and it is SWEET.

Also the little sisters choice thing is a hard decision actually makes you think about it lol.

I have gotten a little bored of hacking though, i must have hacked about 80machines by now already!

just keep hacking... keep on hacking!!! I admit it gets a little repetative after a while (wait till u get to the machines that have no possible routes to the end,, thats a *****!!... ZAP!). You could just spend all your resources in making hacking tools.. but then you would never have anything left for other stuff.
Im saving all the sisters... but boy do I wanna kill them for the power!! Creepy little things arent they!

yeah the hacking has starten to get though, damn overloads and alarms everywhere FFS! but i just bought some extra slots for hacking power ups so its all good.

Ive harvested about 60% and saved about 40% of the little sisters which is probably pointless but i dont care, im going play again and save them all.
But this time im just getting all the ADAM i can get and then saving some to try get in laundidum's (or w/e her name is) knickers, she wants me soooo bad.

not as bad as she wants me!!! shes already given me 2 presents (which are pretty darn good). I just found a new type of big daddy.. oh my lord.. These are like the ones from the videos.. big drilly thing on the arm and they freakin rush you and gut your arse in 2 seconds. still trying to kill the first 1 i found!!

Are you talking bout the big daddys that are the underwater ones? 'rosie' or something?

I cant go into it in detail as im not going spoil the game on anyone, i wouldnt even attempt to create a spoiler thread with warnings all over it, this game is pure SP story driven goodness and it would be *** to spoil it.

there is another version of the big daddy's besides the Rosie ones. I dont remember the name off hand, but they make the rosies look like they eat posies!

The other name for the big daddys (other than Rosies) is Bouncer.

They are probably the most interesting things I have ever seen in a video game.

Got bioshock yesterday, and its sick!!! Only probelm is that Im playing on a 4:3 monitor, but the game is in widescreen, and it cuts out quite alot of the top and bottom.

Anyone know how to change it, and get it out of widescreen back to normal??

and how do you use tonics??? just picked up an engineering tonic (medical pavillion) and think it'll help me open the safe, but havent got a clue how to use the damn tonic! lol

thanx, i can never remember their name somehow. They are baaadasses. They are very interesting, especially when they rush you and stick that drill in your stomach and throw you around. Feels all tingly inside!

yup met them while ago 'elite bouncers' scary bastards, you can hear their footsteps and groans from miles away, i gota say the story gets better and better!

i have noticed some texture load issues though, sometimes things dont load up the detailed textures till ur right beside them then they pop up.

found the secret to them. they dont like flame bolts... makes em easy. that and dont forget to take lots of pictures of everything to get bonuses and extra stuff.

This game doesn't cut anything out if you have a 4:3 tv it only cuts out the top and bottom if you have a widescreen. When people with widescreens found that out they were pissed because they think they paid for a wider few not a shorter one.

All you have to do is put it in one of your tonics slots and it will work the next time u use it.

dude, i have a 57 inch 1080 tv. There is nothing cut off. The only thing that gets cut is the FOV (field of view) on a regular TV, lower resolution, less visibility. Its like that in all games though. If you want to really game, upgrade to HDTV today! HDTV gaming is far superior to SDtv gaming any day of the week.

hey is there any way to go back and listen to audio diaries? I'd just like to be able to listen to them a few times to try and find out more about the story.

yup there under goals in the select menu(map menu) there all there lablelled, its hnady cause loads of times i opened a diary then atlas or ryan came on the radio so i lost it.
