Posts: 969    |  Can The 360 Play Online With Xbox?!!!!! Lets say that you have a XBOX 360 and your online. Your buddy is also online but is on XBOX 1 and both of you are playing that same game (example: Halo2) will you be able to play on line to gether? or would have to switch systems. I don't know but if any one know send me a post to clear this up. Thanks for you time, Mike. |

Posts: 806    | I'm pretty sure it can. I look at it this way. They're giving current Xbox Live subscribers an automatic transfer to the Xbox Live Gold if we get a 360 right? With the same Gamertag of course. So why would they reserve our Gamertags on the 360's Live if it wasn't the same server? I see no reason to make a NEW server for the new Xbox live. That's what leads me to believe you're on the same server no matter what. Otherwise only Xbox live subscribers could communicate with Xbox live subscribers and Xbox live gold/silver can only communicate with other gold/silver etc. I think of it as people who have MSN 6.2, and others who have MSN7.0. Or people who use Windows Messanger. We can all talk to eachother. We're all connected on the same server, just different ways of connecting. So yeah, I'm pretty sure on the 360 you can pop in Mech Assault 2 or Halo 2 and play all your old buddies on the same servers. |

Posts: 53  | Yes, you can. This has been confirmed in OXM. Xbox Live is a service not one piece of hardware. So if your playing Halo 2 on Xbox, you will be able to see that one of your friends is playing Perfect Dark Zero or Project Gotham Racing 3 on Xbox 360. You will be able to send invites and messages, just like now.
