Best game for 10 Year Old?

My nephew, 10 years old, wants XBOX games for Christmas. I do not own an XBOX so I have no idea but all the games that look cool to me are rated Teen or mature. Do you have any recommendations?

How could no one have suggested the star wars lego? you can get the entire collection (like 50 bucks for all 6 episodes) or you can get the original trilogy (the first 3 episodes) for like 20 bucks. pretty sweet. There are a lot of sports games too, but i don't play any of those, but i can't see them being rated Teen.

Look for Crash Bandicoot titles. Even if some are T, it's just for mild cartoon violence.

HUGE difference between an original and a 360.... if he has an original just be the COOLEST uncle and get him a 360 they come with a couple free games now.

3. There are tons of sports games to schoose from, just be sure you know which ones he likes
4. Fusion Frenzy 2
5. The Simpsons Game

I would have to Viva Pinata, both of em. Fuzion Frenzy is a great family/multiplayer game. Rock Band is pretty cool. Not sure if the lyrics will be inappropriate like "suck" or something.

I GOT IT!!! The best game for a 10 year old would be Guitar Hero III! Every 10 year old wants to be a rockstar!

Thats a great idea. It's T but the game really isn't bad. There may be some VERY mild offensive lyrics, but nothing a ten year old hasn't heard before. He'll love it. Or, Guitar Hero II which is a little bit cheaper.

MX vs ATV: Untamed is pretty fun. I have it as a demo and play it when the mood arises

Also, Skate hasn't been mentioned. If you like skateboarding or not it's a lot of fun.

i would say racing or sports games. those are the only games these days that aren't rated M

Apex, if you look at the list of games everyone posted on this thread, you'd discover most of them are E and some are T. And most of the listed games are not sports or racing games.

My nephew is 12 and he loves burnout. I have no idea what the rating is, the only violence is on cars lol. Lots of crashing of cars.

Guitar hero and rock band would be cool!

If he is into fighter jets and missiles, "Ace Combat 6" would be a good pick. (Rated T)

Reads comic books? Into X-Men, avengers, etc? "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance" is good. (Rated T)

"Burnout Revenge" as Psuedohippy mentioned is a great game as well. Lots of speed and crashing.

So what game did you end up getting?

All the star wars lego talk made me want to play mine. it is kiddy, but it has some challenges. try beating some of those levels without dying to get those achievements.
