While the graphics are not breath taking, they certainly are very impressive for the scope of the game. I also have been bored with the preliminary errand missions but i expect that to change. Haven't had a chance to test out multiplayer yet, but will be soon. The voice acting is great. I was not a big fan of the GTA series but this looks like it could be the first to hold my attention throughout.

yeah, i kinda feel the same way, nothing too exciting...might as well have called it Taxi......and whats with the cabaret?? umm.......they must think we really love watching useless video clips.i applaud the visuals and all but is it really needed?? i am really hoping for some more excitement here. i've never played any of the other GTA, but i have played Saints Row, and its about the same but with better graphics....sorry to the gta fans, but i just watched a 5min video of a cowboy mime and some dude juggling..had to be skipped.

i agree, definately not next gen graphics, however they are respectable current gen graphics, especially when figuring in the size and scope of the game.

I must agree with both astute observations.

i totally went to best buy today and held a copy in my hands. i read the back, looked at the cover art and pictures, and put it back on the shelf. box art was exceptional. the entire item had a nice heft to it. The case seemed sturdy and was the sweet 360 lime green. It was in a protective plastic case, so i couldn't smell it, but i am assured that it will smell like a brand new magazine. all in all, i give it a 9 so far. i hope the instruction book is as good as the rest of it.

I wasn't so lucky today because every store was sold out of IV. Hopefully I'll get my hands on one tomorrow.

I've been hearing people saying that there is a glitch in the game as far as freezing. Has anyone had any problems? They're saying its similar to the freezing problems in Bully.

you're in for a disappointment. there's a typo on page 5 of the guidebook. "tw@" should be "two". but it was glossy and new smelly.

Its Rockstar humor at its best Mr. Clueless. "@" stands for "at". Tw + at = ?. I found the graphics decent and I love the new gameplay mechanics. Only thing Im not a fan of is the driving but its still pretty good. Im about 30 missions into it (Wherever you get the lowest point achievement) and I'm hooked.

this is on damn fine game, totally what i expected, what a good day today was. there are a few changes that would be welcome though such as sone kinda checkpoint system, having to do long missions over and over is hard on the old heart lol

i don't think anyone is in love with the driving mechanics. very stiff. i like how it's more realistic, but geez. i can't turn!! getting a little better as i go on but i don't think i will ever fully appreciate it.

it seems like the closest game you can compare this to is Saints Row. SR has next-gen graphics and these are even better. it's not GOW or COD4 by any means, but the graphics are still next-gen. what i'm most impressed with so far is the realistic damage to vehicles. R* did an excellent job with that.
