Ninja Gaiden II

please try to convince me that this game doesn't suck. the NES game was great, but i played some of Ninja Gaiden I on XBOX and thought it blew chunks. saw some footage of this one and it doesn't look any better. convince me otherwise.

Ninja Gaiden II is a great game but I don't think it is that much different from Sigma. The graphics, movement, weapons and game play is great but it does have its flaws...

My biggest beef with the game (as well as Sigma) is the freaking camera! Half the time you cannot see what is going on around you because the camera zooms in every time you do a power move. Its a ***** in this game because they increased the amount of enemies, sometimes you'll be taking on 10 fiends at a time. As a result the fiends will be hitting you from every direction and because of the jacked up camera, you will have a hard time seeing all of them. The special effects are cool but you will easily become disoriented because of all the **** going on around you.

The game is pretty good so far. The only major difference between Sigma and II is the amount of enemies you take on at a given time. Also, II appears to be fully rendered in HD whereas some of the cutscenes in Sigma were in standard definition.

You don't need convincing so don't buy it.

Most of the usual and customary weapons are accounted for including the Lunar Staff, Vigoorian Flails & the Dragon Sword. New weapons include the Tonfa, Falcon's Talons (claws) Kusari-gama (sick) and the Eclipse Scythe which is ruthless and makes the War Hammer look like a tree branch. The environments are more detailed, each chapter is more open rather than enclosed, CG's are gorgeous, Ultimate Techniques are far more ruthless, Regenerative health at checkpoints, massive dismemberment and it's about as bloody as a Soviet gulag. It also speaks more about the arc of NG such as the Book of Fiends and what not. I'm seriously digging it.

No ninja gaiden will ever be as good, or sound as cool, as the ole' NES! The commercials looked pretty good, but so did the ones for Black, and it was just to difficult for me. I'll be passing on this one i think.

I'm not sure what a "lier" is but you are a LIAR howerver when you say it's getting 6's. When most sites are 8/10 and up. I'd give it an 8.5/10

The combat is deep and the new finishing moves are spectactular to behold. The camera is a little wonky but nothing very bad. Makes DMC4 look like crap in comparison, but if you didn't like NG1 you most likely won't like this one.

I love this game and it is the definition of a "hardcore" title. So don't cry about it being too difficult! You just suck is all............

noooo! not better then goldeneye! the game rocked! what about time splitters 2 and 3? i liked those, especially 3.

Metacritic is owned by c/net which is in the process of being bought out by CBS so it seems you are a "lier". Definite renter for me. I want to try it because it looks super coo, but i don't want to buy it and end up hating it because it is just to tough for me.

I played the demo and thought it was fun and feckin hard too. Pretty good graphics aswell. But I dont really want to buy it because Ive heard its impossible and frustrating. Maybe Ill rent it

It is difficult but I dig challenges. It's not as hard as Black and with the regenerative health and frequent save points it's actually slightly easier. Frustrating it is but so was CoD4 on Veteran but I had a blast playing it and was joyed once I completed it.

i'm surprised some are praising the graphics of this game. i haven't played the demo myself, but the footage i've seen looks like last gen at best.
