Default FPS, does it really matter?

Exactly what it asks, do you think it doesn't matter if its 30 fps, 60 fps, or even 120 fps as long as its a good game and its smooth. Or is it a life and death struggle between buying a game thats not 60+fps?

60+ feels great on the PC, below that just doesn't "feel" right I dont think we are going to have much trouble with the 360 going below 60fps considering the hardware specs!!!!!!!

It just depends.. However, I realy would like to see all the game on the 360, at 60 FPS. Then again, I'll never argue if a game is great, and runs smooth at 40 FPS...But that's the line.

The human eye can't see more than around 35 fps. A higher framerate can be beneficial for games where a lot of content/action can lower the framerate, but still remain fluid. IMO, games like Kameo need to run at 60fps. However, PDZ might not look as good, but feel more real at a lower fps (25-30).

Well, for the most part, it depends on the game, so if it runs smoothly, I'm happy.
On a side note, I thought all 360 game were required to also have a 60FPS minimum, but on a TV, anything above 60 is usually a waste...

They need 30 fps or 60fps becouse of the way TV's work. 60fps is a target most developers set for themselfs, but if they cant make it a constant thing, they cap the game at 30fps.

As long as it looks good I don't care. I'm no graphics junkie I like nice looking games. I voted for "another stupid poll" because we want to talk about games not their frames.

frame rates do matter, you see the difference. The more the better. If you ever played a game with low frame rates it like playing a game with LAG!!!. It sucks. I remember playing fable, which was a awsome game, but with slow frame rates that pop up would just. So i think frame rates is a must. It not about graphics, it about gameplay. ........then graphics

.watch the language .

you guys have seen CoD2 right? that runs on 30 FPS and it looks fantastic, people cant even tell the its running at 60FPS like the SK guy siad so running nice with graphics visable effects keeps the gamer happy and some leg room for designers.
