CoD 2 Xbox Live - Creating Game

Does anyone know if there is a way to create a private game or if I can create a party in CoD 2? I want to do some Team Deathmatch action with my buddies, but there doesn't seem to be a way to create a party before searching for a match.

The best I can do is jump into a pregame lobby where I have about 30 seconds to invite all my friends, while during this time, other players are also being put into the lobby.

If I can get all my friends in, then all of my buddies need to manually switch to the same team....this is all kind of a hassle.

I asked some players in the lobby if there was an easier way, and no one seemed to know. Any ideas?

The multiplayer in CoD 2 is soooo fun, but....if I can't create a game in CoD 2, that would seriously suck....please help!!

i'm sure there is a way. try looking in the book to see if it says anything about it

EDIT: looked in book for u and didn't see anything on it

im not sure, but i think infinity ward are hosting the servers. I dont think you can create a match. I play it on live and i think its amazing. Its really fun.

there is usually an option to create a match on every live game.

yeah no kidding. that's why this is buggin me so much.. the online gameplay is really fun; i just wish i could create a match. i'm hoping that infinity ward takes care of this somehow, maybe through an autoupdate or something...bummer.

Ive also been trying to get a private game going and I dont think it can be done. I can't believe infinityward has missed this vital part of live.
