COD 2 graphics?

Played this game at Target and on the screen it said something about pre something version? Anyway the game looks nice but not as nice as I had thought. Is this a different version than the one you buy? Thanks.

pre release demo you've played and its only one level of the entire game. Plus are they running it in HD mode and not 480 mode.

Not sure of mode but it was hooked up to a small flat panel. Assumed it was in hidef.

Im sure whatever they had up there was at the best of its ability. y would they put something on display that isnt at 100%. then people would think the game/system is crapier than it really is.

The demo and the actuaal game are really different, the graphics on the demo looks kind of crappy, but the graphics on the real game are awsome. I agree, people thought the game would looks crappy, and it did look crappy, but looking at vids of actual gameplay is way different

looking at vids of cod2 will look diffren than the game but playing the full version of the game is amazing. people are mistaken to easily.

i agree the graphics on cod2 are amazing, the smoke affects from the smokee bombs are incredible. i never played tthe demo but the full game graphics are outstanding.

yeah this game is awesome, I think its my favorite of the launch games so far. Well its between COD2 and PGR3. I think the demo of the game looked great but the actual game is even better, not by a lot but like sterritt said the effects are great.

It was a prerelease demo, so all of the bugs weren't fixed but still, when I was playing it for the 15th time at Toys R' Us yesterday, people kept gathering around me

"Omg it looks so real"

"I got next, jk"

"it makes sony look like ****"

from what i've noticed the demo versions at all teh kiosks and what not aren't running on the full Hi-def setting. as for me 1080i Widescreen it is freakng awesome. one of the best looking games...ever

The graphics are quite reminiscent of Half Life 2, very strong visuals.

It may be because I'm not playing it in HD, but the graphics aren't as impressive as I thought they would be. It's something that couldn't be done on the Xbox, but it doesn't seem next-gen. Particularly when you compare the graphics to Perfect Dark Zero or Project Gortham Racing 3. Having said that, some of the effects are outstanding. But most of the etxtures and the like are not really impressive at all.

still a good game though.

even in HD the game looks mostly just like the demo. Sorry guys but its not "wildly different" like some of you are making out. dont get me wrong it looks great and I'm loving it. but it looks just as good on my computer. Granted it doesn't run as smooth but graphically it looks just as good especially since I can turn my resolution up well into the higher HD range. 720p and 1080i are just killer though and I'm happy with it just as it is. But there are better looking games out there and thats just how it is, its just a launch game so really get over it the demo is not a misrepresentation of what the final product looks like. The smoke looks just as killer in the demo as it does the real game. The thing that counts is the gameplay is topnotch and the presentation is amazing which to me is what makes the game so good

I play all my games on my HDTV either the plasma or upstairs on the LCD so I can't say how much different it looks on a standard tv since I dont use one.

Commadore 64? That pic was horrible. I love my 360 but I can play COD2 a lot faster and better looking graphics then the 360 can do. (even on HD) Plus I can use my mouse and keyboard, the only way 1st person is meant.

bingo, all the ones i have seen didn't have HD mode turned on. It has to be switched on the cable attached to the box itself and or via system settings in the dashboard. I know for a fact that the ones locally i have seen all were set up in a hurry by a bunch of five dollar an hour rookies, that had no idea about the HD setup
