BF2 single player campaign glitched?

Hi everyone,

I've been playing through the single player campaign on BF2 and I've got to a level where you have to defend an oil rig against NATO forces (think it's about level 5). You start off on the rig, survive the first NATO attack, then you hotswap to a nearby island, survive a second attack. If you survive this, you have to get back to the rig and repel a third attack, but this seems to cause a bit of a problem. Once I've survived this attack, nothing happens. The mission objectives are just to survive, all the attackers are dead but it doesn't register that you've completed the objective, I've searched everywhere, there are no enemies left. I've left the game running for about 30 minutes after the third attack, still nothing.

It's getting kinda frustrating, I can't progress in the single player because there seems to be a glitch. Has anyone completed this level? Maybe I'm missing something obvious?

I had that same problem too...its because there was a guy in the water somewhere way far out, you cant even shoot him but he can shoot you. its very annoying and i was pissed when it happend to me. i guess when the enemies fall into the water they just swin away some where for some reason. you just have to start over.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. Guess I must have been unlucky as I've tried this mission several times now and it's happened each attempt.

That happened to me, i got the bastard the one time it happened. The real annoying thing for me was when you had to kill the train, took me forever in that mission.

Nothing was more agitating than the glitch in the Bulldog level in GRAW where the map would be cut off. I had to retry that mission at least 13 times to get it to work.

I never had that problem at all! I went perfectly through the level! well after I died the first time! and it could have been that I sniped the pilots out of two of the copters at the end and none of the para troopers made it out! but who knows!

Hmm and what do you know. The patch does nothing for single player. I'm so tired of EA making crappy games and relying on patches. Wish I wouldn't have bought this buggy a** game.

Don't say that. It's just more EA trash.

Almost every game so far has relied on patches, its cheaper (millions of bug testers instead of a few hired ones) faster, and probably something else i can't think of.
