Gtr On 360!!!!!!!!!!!!

My prayers have been answered! THQ has announced that it will, in conjunction with Simbin, will be releasing GTR on Xbox 360. OMFG, that is the best news I have heard in a LOOOOOOOOONG time. Expect to see this game in the first quarter of 2007!!!!!

Screw Forza 2, this will be the king of all games, never mind just racing games.

Its comparing apples and oranges scot.

Forza 2: Moding paradise of all kinds of cars.

GTR: Stock racing with a limited amount of cars.

Forza 2 will still be the 360 flagship racing game and nothing will take that away from it. BTW you have no idea what Forza 2 is like so why are you passing judgement so quick?

Because GTR is easily the most realistic racing game (the PC version), EVER! And Forza was intended to be realistic as possible, and GTR will absolutely PWN it. You haven't played a "real" racing game until GTR on a high spec PC with a force feedback wheel, which I have and it is incredible! Simbin use actaul telemetry data from the racing teams to create handling and track maps, and the results are spectacular.

And you were saying about the number of cars, there is around 75, which is still a fair amount. AND 50, yes 50 are on track at once!

My favourite car ever is in it also, the Ferrari 550 GTC, what a machine.

You are making assumptions for Forza 2 also. How do you know the modifying will still be in the game? And if so, it has nothing to do with racing....If you want an in-depth modding side to a game, get Midnight Club 3.....oh wait that game sucks!

I couldnt possibly disagree with you more! In my opinion, which I understand is different then most, NO racing game will truly rock without a forcefeedback wheel. I love GTR, but Ill stick with the PC and Pro Race Driver on both PS2 and PC until a wheel comes out. There is no way I can feel complete without being in my homemade simulator with my wheel. Can you tell Im disgusted with microsoft right now. I think the worst part about it is that my fist experience with FFB was with a microsoft sidewinder FFB stick and Star Wars Rogue Squadren and it made that game. SO why cant MS make a dang wheel. ARGHHHHHH!!

Its all licensing... For some reason they can't put a force feedback on the 360, i can't think what the licensing reason could be. I WANT ONE!

I haven't played a nice Racing Sim in a while, I'll definitely keep my eyes on this one. I loved the last couple Gran Turismo games, and the newest installment (if there is one) will likely be for PS3, so maybe GTR will be able to fill the void.

Scot serisouly Forza would never drop modding and when it comes to realism no game that I have ever seen has beaten Forza in tire physics. Why the hell would I want MC:3? Forza is real modding on real cars for real race tracks not a bunch of nonsense. If anyone is over compensating its you, its like the Mac OS X and Vista have you even tried or even seen the finallized windows Vista? if not how does that give you the right to say all it is a copy of the Mac OS. Forza will always have the crown on 360 when it comes to racing and nothing will ever take it away from it. ever.........

You know it takes around 5 minutes for each race to load (on slower PCs anyway) just because of the amount of data that has to be loaded, not only off of the disk (the game has 2) but the 1GB of harddisk space the game takes up. It IS the most realistic game ever created, and the 360 version will be even better.
And you are saying that no game will ever take the crown from Forza 2....the game hasn't even been announced yet, so how can it have the crown? You are a bit of a Forza fanboy.

As for the real circuits you are talking about, only a few are. Most are fictional, which is pathetic for a supposed "simulation". GTR is all real world circuits, real cars, real drivers and REAL handling. It uses the MOTEC telemetry software for christs sake, what every GT team uses!!!

I will definetaly get Forza 2, but GTR will be just far superior. The only cars I used in Forza were the R-class racers, thats just who I am. And GTR fits the bill perfectly.

Concerning Windows Vista.....

I am not the only person to admit the copying that has gone on. It is a good thing because the MAC OS is a much more stable operationg system, which can only be a good thing for PCs.

I meant the Forza series how could Forza 2 have any crown. I said MC:3 was fake and shiate i'm not the one who was comparing Forza to MC:3. My only problem is that you discuss your oppinion like its a fact. That makes alot of people mad. You should've just said GTR is coming to 360 and I think it will be better than Forza. Not GTR is 1337 and nothing could ever beat it ever. It pisses people off when you point things of your point of view to the only right things. Everyone has oppionions and before you post another thread you should think about this before you post. BTW this is how arguement get started.

I know I wasn't much better but I like to argue for some reason but if you were to have just been clam about it and just said your oppinion I would've just said "Maybe, but I think the Forza series will keep the crown."

That is true. But the reason of a post/thread is to let your opinion be known, they are nothing more than your own opinion. But anyway, I am just very passionate about that game, and have been wanting since the first time I played it on PC for it to come to a console. And now it has been I am ecstatic.

The reason I compared MC:3 to Forza is the fact you said that main feature of Forza was the modfiying, over the racing. For which MC:3 is definetely. But for me the main point of Forza was the brilliance of the handling (which is still lacking over GTR) and the modding was a nice asset on the side, for when you get a bit bored.

Sorry for creating another argument between us lol.

I've played GTR on the pc and I think for a lot of people it will be too hardcore. It's far more realistic than forza but forza gives up a little bit of realism, apparently they made the game easier than the demo build, to appeal to the casual gamer. As for force-feedback controls it is a shame but doesn't effect most people as they play with the standard controller.

In some ways GTR will be like football manager 2006 in that you'll have to be really into the details to get the most out of it.

Ok, call me naive (everyone shouts NAIVE), but I've never heard of GTR.
I just got a 360 a few months ago, and have absolutley loved the GT series on ps2. So, I've been dying for a racing sim.

I have PGR and it's good, I just prefer more circuit type racers. I've heard Forza is great, and is basically the equivalent of GT for xbox, but never played it before. So GTR is a fantastic sim too, eh? Come on 2007!

GTR was acclaimed the most realistic racing game EVER! Using actual race data from teams and officials in the FIA, they produced car and track maps which were the most accurate ever.

The original was only on PC, it was excellent but my comp was never that brilliant to play it as Simbin, the developers, intended. The fact it is coming to 360 is the single best piece of news concerning a game I have ever heard.

Oh and how I was saying that there was 75 cars....that was the original on PC, this one has 144!!!! With 35 circuits, it is amazing. It has dynamic weather (parts of the circuit dries at different rates depending on the type of surface) and varying grip levels around each circuit.
