Anyone else fall in love with Saints Row?

I cannot wait til this game comes out. I just got done plugging over an hour into the demo and I want to go back for more. But the wife wanted to watch her show. Whats everybody's impression about this game? Definately a buy over here.

The demo was ok. The targeting system sucks big time. It would of been better to have an auto aiming system. Other than that, the game is just another GTA knock off. Nothing is better than the original. Hope you enjoy it though. I might rent it, but I don't think I will be buying it.

LOVED IT. I loved GTA series alot, many hours put into those games, but this game from what Ive played in my demo, is BETTER. The shooting system is way better, and plays more like max payne. The melee system works well, more so than GTA, and the ragdoll effects rock!!! Anyone who hasnt played it, kick someone the first chance you get, and when they fall, kick them again!!!Its so much fun. The demo has a couiple of missions, including getting beat up and "initiated" into the gang, picking up hos for your brothel, and poping a cap in some gangsta asses. Its good. Really good. The graphics are nice, and the water is super realistic looking. If you dont have the demo yet, make it a prioruty. ITs well worth your time.

I agree with Enola....I played it not expecting much, but I am really siked about it. I have played thru the demo bout 4 or 5 times. I will definetally be picking this bad boy up. Wish I could have tried the multiplayer too. That will be fun.

Did you watch through the making of feature? I want to form a gang. I never join clans in games, but this one looks promising. I cant get enough of the demo, especially blowing crap up. The explosions are off the hook!

I played it,its the exact copy of GTA and the storyline is to much fake gangster crap.San andreas had the best gangster storyline prefect setting but saints row just over does it but its still is a good game ill probaly buy it.

I don't think I really liked this game that much! just not my type of game! you know what I mean? the usual almost invincible person that can take 10 or so bullets and keep on living!

No I haven't watched that yet. I will go back and look for it. Yeah, I think 'Gang' wars online will be freakin fun. The only game that I have been real serious about online play and clans is halo2, and I could see getting a clan together and playing this game online being really fun.

lol I love this game, I was having a blast. The first thing I did was a mission and got some cash, pimp my self out and then robbed the clerk lady at sloppy 2nds. Then head on over to the liquor store and bought a 40 and and some bubblie and robbed that clerk to. Walked out and got wasted and jacked the first car I saw, kill some innocent bystanders and had the cops all over me with a two star rating. Killed them, pick up a uzi or mac19 I assumed and a shoty. Go do the next mission, getting ho's and taking out other gangs, and when i first shot that gun and saw the car exploded.........it was just love at first site. And it only gets better when you get the flaming ****tails.
I must say, this is must have for me. I wish we have a freckle bitches here to lol.

I think the problem is when people say its a gta clone, or gta ripoff. I wish people could just see that gta was a free roam game. Go anywhere, do anything type of game. It created a whole genre. But games like this are hindered because people dont look at it as a open world game, but as a gta clone. Shame on them, and they are going to be missing out on a lot of fun.

can't wait for the game. wish i could play the demo but i still can't join xbox live because of my MTU. anyway its one of my must-haves for the 360 including Dead rising and Gears of War

Yeah i guess your right but i was saying they over used the whole gangster theme but i realy did enjoy the demo.

I had fun with it. Not my type of game, but I have played the first two GTAs in the past. You guys are right though, wide open gameplay, of course it will be compared to GTA (it does use some of the features after all), but it does things a hell of a lot better.

I liked robbing the liquor store after getting a bong, a 40, and some gin. Nice drug effects too. Too funny.

whats the AI like on the cops i know with gta the cops where kind of stupid, like driving into walls at times are the cops in saints row smarter? like trying to ram you of road? blockages?

thanks for any reply as my saints row demo download is downloading like a *****....grrrr sooo slow
