| Why is Multplayer so small??? Just a thought, but why is it do you think that multi is limited to 4 vs 4?? Is it because the game is so graphically demanding that it can only handle that many players without slowdown??
I just think it would be pretty slick being as high as 10 vs 10. Maybe they'll bump it up in the future if it's possible with a patch.

| 10 vs.10 would be cool, but some of the maps are too small for that many people,Raven Down being a prime example. |

| | Can of Whoopass | I think that the style of gameplay that Gears of War uses would make it too difficult on players to be involved in a 10x10. It just takes too long to kill people, so imagine even 5 versus 5 with shotguns in real close combat. Plus since there's no respawn you'd die too quick no matter what and it'd get boring.

| Yeah, that is about my only complaint with the online GOW. I wish the maps were slightly bigger, more people were allowed (8 vs. 8 would be nice), and re-spawns. Mostly because that is kind of my online "style". I run full ahead kill, kill, kill, get killed and re-spawn back into the action. I am not good at hanging back or planning ahead... I think that is why I like RB6V so much.
But it does work the way they have it. Small enough you don't have to wait to long. Now, if I only didn't suck so bad...

| Ther's too much camping and long-range combat in a typical GOW match. THis is why, when I host games, there's no longshot, boomshot, or hammer of dawn. Also, if people camp alot in my games they are booted. The game is really glitchy too. The boomshot misses by one centimeter and it doesn't kill them? Right.
I also turn off nades because they are a nub weapon for easy kills.
Weapons I do have in my game:
Torque Bow
Hammer Burst (Best weapon)
Revolver (Forgot exact name)
Lancer
Shotgun

| | Can of Whoopass | It doesn't seem like I'll be playing too many GoW matches with you, though I also turn off the grenades when I host player matches. I love using the longshot if I get the chance, headshots galore. I can use it pretty well in close range, I can hit them active reloads all day. I understand what you say with camping, but sometimes it's necessary. For example in Rooftops, if my whole team stays back and I keep rushing, I'm most likely going to get killed. So if I stay back with them, should I get booted, too? Also, if I'm the last guy left I camp a lot, as trying to bum rush a four man team would be stupid.
BTW: The magnum is called the Boltok Pistol. The shotgun is called the Gnasher. (Why does nobody know this?)

| smaller multiplayer just fits the game. like others said, if there were 10x10, you would die within seconds, which would be very lame, and get old.

| the point of it being so small is because the developers wanted to create an online expierence where it is all close combat where you can hear you enemy breathing round the next corner . |

| I didn't realize the maps were big enough to camp effectively. I agree the boomshot should have more splash damage than it does. I think they may be able to get away with adding 1 more player to each side for multiplayer but that gets away from the core gameplay of having 2 2-man groups so that means they'd have to go 6 vs. 6 and I think the maps are just too small for 12 players.

Shotgun | I under5stand that people have their favorite weapons and their least favorite weapons. and if you're hosting then you're the boss about what goes into the game, but please don't cross the line and call certain weapons, *nub weapons* it's all about the variety and ability to use many tactics. If you personally cannot fight against certain weapons just be honest and say that you are not good enough to face them.... don't just exclude them from your match and act like they are beneath you as a player. thats just dumb. Any tard can pick up a grenade and go tag someone but it can take some strong situational awareness to be able to always see that tagger coming and put them down before they tag you. it's all part of the game man, don't knock the game! |
