Posts: 1,873   |  Mark Rein Talks About Updates Epic’s Mark Rein dropped in on the Gears of War forums to give the fans a preview of what to expect in the upcoming update. The update (which is currently in the certification process) will fix a bunch of glitches including the 720p support for VGA users running 1280X1024 and most importantly, a new gametype. Called Annex,in which Mark states that he and the team received some excellent feedback on the new gametype. More info about the update and the new gametype will be announced next week. |

Posts: 1,068   | Very interesting. Hope most of the more annoying glitches get fixed, like chainsaw and roadie run. This annex game type... I'm thinking it'll be like a territory type game. Somewhat like in Lost Planet....

Posts: 1,068 | I'm pretty sure that's not fixable with a patch. That's something that would require a fix with new hardware, such as servers.

Posts: 448   | to be honest i'll be happy with just a new game mode...Gears of War is beginning to get old. Also wasnt there mention of some new weapons a little while ago?

Posts: 351 | maybe one team will have a stronghold, and the other team has to capture it... which would be simular to assult in halo. i think capture the flag is over played...but it is a classic, and fun in most online games.

Posts: 448 | well if it is CTF respawns are a must...kinda hard to have any flag capturing if everyone is dead. :/
