I'd recommend that he used the network troubleshooter on the Xbox console. If you can't determine the problum, call 1-800-4MY-XBOX.
The problum is most likely your firewall, NAT, and port forwarding settings. At this point you really should learn more about your own router. I couldn't guide you through it, without knowing certain details.
If they can't help you at 1-800-4MY-XBOX then contact the manufacturer of the router or check if they have a website online. Should have troubleshooting instructions there.

I know routers are a pain by the way. I spent over 3 weeks trying to get a Red Alert 2 game going with a friend. Just think, if it weren't for crackers and those who make viruses we wouldn't have to worry about all this protection. |
