Please describe your most retarded moment in gears

Personally I have to admit that I never knew there was a zoom scope on the rifle. Pulling the left trigger obviously scopes you in to aim. However I never read the instructions to the game so here I am 1 week ago with 3400 kills missing 2 weapon achievements (rifle kills & headshots) I had never really used the rifle because getting a hit was so hard with the weak zoom power of pulling the left trigger. SO I finally decide i'm going to use nothig but the rifle until I get the achievements. 2 hours later I am crouching, jumping, and rolling with a rifle in my hands and I slip into the scope zoom and i'm totally shocked at my own stupidity. Everyone that i always gaem with was laughing at me and said that they had always wondered why I complained so much about the rifle, they assumes that I knew about the scope and just sucked at sniping.... so now I am finally the full package being able to use all weapons. The Rifle is my new favorite weapon because I can nail the active reload 8 out of 10 times. And hit the enemy with it 7 out of 10 times.

The moral of the story is to READ THE WEAPONS SECTION OF YOUR MANUAL.

Anyways...

I was standing behind a teammate. I had the hammer of dawn. I activated the laser, was aiming at the enemy. The beam came, but not at the enemy. It came down where my teammate was in front of me. Killed me and my whole team. Good thing it was a player match. We did explode the Fuel Depot and one enemy though.

yeah i'm getting there with the rifle. I only had 2 days to play with the scope before mailing my 360 in for warranty work. and YES thats the most classic moment with the Hammer... you are locked on and the beam is .0005 seconds from forming...and your teammate needlessly walks in front of you and the beam retargets 2 inches fromy our face just in time to fully form... lololol

I was playing at a friends house, and I am very new to the game. Well anyway, we're on canals, and my friend and a guy on my team were in a gun battle, and then my teammate advanced, so I followed, crouched, next thing I know I'm meeleed to the ground. I was crouching right next to my friend who was on the opposite team for at least a whole minute before he looked at my screen and saw me sitting there. He was sniping and didn't see me and then lit me up while I thought he was on the other team. Man did I hear it after that one.

one that happens alot is when you've been playing Cog for a couple hours and then get stuck on a locust team.... you are likely to walk right up to a cog guy while not immediatly realixing he is the enemy. because you've been cog all day lol

Mine was not realizing the last opponent on the other's team was only a few feet away from me the entire time. We were lookin in opposite directions >.<

My teammate and an enemy are shotgun blasting each other. I can hear them continually shooting, and then reloading. The enemy dies, and then another of his teammates drops in and takes off where his last partner died. Then I drop in just as the enemy shoots my guy to the ground. I put a couple buckshots into him, and try to get my partner up. Only to find out I ended up picking up some ammo, and not my partner. He gets shot a final time, and i'm left trying to get to my feet only to be melee'd and killed.

Whenever I see a guy get downed by the Boomshot I run up to him and try to revive him and the guy with the boom gets an easy double kill.

Mabye Gears of War II will be better, but lets be honest its a single player game. i will get it just for the singleplayer.
