Gears of War - Cluster luck

Hi,

Can anyone give me any top tips in getting the cluster luck achievement please - whats the best level to do it on? best weapon (grenade i suppose)? and so on?

Hammer of Dawn on Rooftops is a good one.

First Mission, casual difficulty. When they are using the torch to get through the door, throw a grenade right before it gets blown off. 3 guys will run right on top of it. I got it on the first try.


You could also just boost with friends

When your in levels with exploding wretchs, stick one with a gernade and don't run away from then. They will hop around next to you and kill a lot more then 3.

*Do this on co-op so your buddy can bring you back to live.

I'd recommend the level where you're in the mansion (not Phoenix's house) and there's a gun turret at the end of the hallway. After you take out the guy on the turrett, there will be a crapload of wreches running down the hallway at you - toss grenades. Done.

That's how I did it. It might take you a few tries, but the checkpoint is right when you get to the start of the hallway, so it's quick to re-try.

I didnt get chance to play it lats night - busy!

If i remeber the achievement says "kill 3 enemies at once 10 different times";

So, am i right in saying that you have to do this 10 times and with a different weapons each time?

no, just tag one of the enemies running through the door in the beginning with a grenade, let it kill you too, and it'll keep respawning you at the last checkpoint before they break through the door. it doesn't matter what weapon you do it with.

You don't got uh kill urself.. just throw it.. and no you can do the same thing multiple times

EASIEST WAY = go to the mansion level in the ACT where its all rainy. When you have to walk on top of the wooden floor, Fall on purpose in the pit full of the creatures(forgot name havnt played gow in 3 months). You will most likely die, so you have to restart that part which is exactly where u left off.

you can use act 3, with the weak floor boards on casual. wait for loads of wretches to be following you and then tag one. first time for me worked!

I got it last night:

Started off with the first level where the door gets blown off - managed to get 2 lots of clusters but had a real problem after because my timing was off!

So, i then went to the down pour level and grenade tagged glowing wretches to finish off the achievement!
