Pes2008 game wont kick off

New game, players wont kick off when ref blows whistle, no buttons will make players pass, do i have to do anything i.e controller config.

does the pause button work? if so go to controller select and make sure you controller is assocciated with the home or away team

yeah pause button works, have tried switching teams, the game then kicks off,the controller stick also works as i can chase the ball,but when i get possesion none of the pass or shoot buttons work- This is the 2nd disc as i thought the 1st may be faulty. controller also works with all other games. Confused!!

If your playing a 'backup' copy this sometimes happens. I know of someone who plays 'backup' copies and this happens to him on PES2008. If your version is the full retail version then I don't know whats going on with it. I have never had an issue with the controls on PES2008.
