Posts: 59 | i just got my guitar christmas ,and i'm trying to learn how to play. does anyone have any tips for a beginner? that is other than practice, practice, and more practice ,i try to practice as much as i can , at least 1 or 2 hours a day. any web sites that will help ,tips or anything ?  wannabe

Posts: 368 | i dont know that there are any web sites but if there is a guitar shop see if they have lessons. i pay 20 bucks and hour for a lesson with pro. and 15 from my friend. so ya either lessons from a store or some 1 you know that plays and is good.

Posts: 534 | you can also use guitarpro a guitar tab program that lets you dl tabs on it and learn some songs a good way to get started is to just learn a few simple songs

Check out Harmony Central ( www.harmony-central.com) You can catch a lot of links to instructional sites, manufacturer sites, stores, etc. Also, iBreathe Music ( www.ibreathemusic.com) is a good one. Both sites can get you some good beginner info as well as guide you into some advanced topics. I've been playin for about 15 years now and still check those sites out and find some interesting stuff. |

Posts: 1,729 | I used to be really good, then I couldnt take lesson's anymore so now i suck, i mean i can still play the easy riff's like, Back in Black, and Rock you like a hurricane, ironman, smoke on the water, crazytrain.....all those, but i used to be able to play full songs, and solo's.................but sadly not anymore........

I was lucky enough to see Children of Bodom this year. They played well but the crowd weren't all that impressive.

Anyways, I have a Epiphone Les Paul and a Stagg XB300. I've been playing the Stagg more since I've started to learn bass.
