Timeout is BS. Smacking is the way to go! Obviously you don't beat your child to pulp, but a good wake up call smack will do the trick.

Its hard however because of all the politically correct bull$hit. In some states (if not already) they are trying to ban smacking. WTF?! Plus now in days kids are calling the cops just for being smacked! And you got DHS, DDS >.< (whoever the $#@) trying to take away your kids for minor BS. Kids are simply getting away with too much crap now in days.

When I was a kid, I got beat with my Sega Genesis for not turning it off when asked. Guess what? Turning off the sega was never an issue again! If I was a kid today, that would have been a Xbox 360 or PS3 and those consoles are packin weight! lol! In any case, bad kids need to get checked, BIG TIME!

LOL! Yeah, it worked but I could hear little pieces inside the system move around when picking it up. No blood, just confusion and denial of what happened >.<

i am of the old school smack em.
in the UK they have just about made it a crime to smack your children because of child abuse but these measures don't stop abuse instead we end up in a country with the highest teenage pregnancy rates in Europe and mind less Yobs hanging round street "happy slapping" people and yelling abusive language at pass by while eyeing them up for a mugging just before they smash up some local bus stops and start breaking into houses.
Now if you go to certain parts of the country it's just as gun crazed as parts of the US. so that why when kids do wrong a smack is the best discipline .

but it's thanks to the do gooding middle class politicians that live in big private houses and send there kids to private payed for school that just don;'t under stand the importance of a good smack ,thats why we can not smack our kids anymore.
