leveling up

Hey guys. I have a question. I've been playing a Nord born under the theif. I have unlocked 17 achievements including Darkbrotherhood Murderer, Arena Grand Champion, located Shrine of Dagon, closed the Kavatch Oblivion Gate, Fighters guild Journeyman and a Mages Guild Associate not to mention delivering Martin and becoming a Blade. I have walked the countryside aquiring things to sell, bought a house in Bruma and have done several side quests. All of this and I'm at a level 3! I sleep often, check in with trainers just to be told that I am at my skill max for that level. I keep an eye on my stats but I just can't seem to level. I switch between my Blades heavy armor and my Dark Brotherhood light armor depending on my task. Any ideas to help me out? I must not be doing something right, or it takes a LONG time to level in this game! Thanks!

Well for a start, you should make sure you're training your major skills rather than your minor ones. So, if light armour is one of your major skills, stick with that and don't bother changing into heavy armour. Also, if marksman is a major skill, don't run around weilding a huge axe. Just stick to raising your important skills and you'll level up pretty quick.

And don't forget to sleep to level up!

Well, I've managed to make it to level 4. Heavy armor and Light armor are both major skills. I've just been jumping around while sneaking to build athletics and sneak (minor skills) while working on the major ones. It still seema like a slow process. I have gone to the Mythic Dawn shrine and recovered the book, investigated the Bruma spies and now I'm on my Deadric quests but leveling still seems slow. Anyway, thanks for the advice. Since i have downloaded the wizards tower, I have been spending a lot of time making spells and enchanting things, so my attention was temporarily directed at gold and soul gems. I guess thats why I havn't been leveling well. Anyway, back to the main quest. Thanks

you need to fill the red bar on 3 - 4 major skills to level up. i am a level 30 right now, and i havent even started the oblivion gate at kavatch. I mastered the mages guilds, fighters, assasians, thieves, grand champion, and blades...and i still have the kings amulet. leveling is actually easy. just look at your major skills, pick the one the has the most red bar, and just work on that. once you increase that one, go to the next major skill that has a lot of red....

Yeah, I have leveled up a few times since my last post, but I've started my Daedric quests and some of them apparently have a level restriction, so I want to level pretty quick as I knock out those quests. I quess I can work on the Brotherhood, Mages and Fighter's guild stuff for a while. Thanks for the advice!
