Default Dead Rising - Couple Questions
Just got the game today from GameFly. Confused on a couple of things.

(1) for items like the shopping cart and lawnmower, how do you move them? I had the same problem in the demo.
(2) I have to restart the entire story over again because I died without saving - are all my stats from that session tallied or were they all reset?
(3) Is every item in the game available for use right from the get go, or do they unlock as time goes on? For instance riding a motorcycle, etc...

a) hold down square button and they move only when button held
b) all gone
c) all available from start

My friend's dad just can't get used to it. He constantly finds himself shouting at the screen because he says "there is no Y button!"
