Default To those who have or play on multiple 360's...

Am interested to hear from those who play on multiple 360’s, how you transfer your Live accounts and saved games?

I bought another 360 for the bedroom and want to use my existing Live account as well as be able to access my saved games. From what I understand my only options are to purchase a memory card and transfer my account to that, or I can use the account recovery procedure.

What about actually taking the HD from one unit and attaching it to the other? Wouldn’t this work as well?

Thanks.

yes, that would work, but the memory card would be better, so you would not have to keep swaping the HD around.

Yeah the memory card is the easiest way. Microsoft recommends this method and suggest you not recover a gamer profile.

xbox.com states “we urge .... you, when you roam—not to do this. Unlike your gamertag on the original Xbox system, your gamer profile can exist only in one place at one time, so downloading (or "recovering") your profile to a friend's system will invalidate the version of your profile that's still on your Xbox 360 hard drive, endangering any offline achievements and game saves since your last visit to Xbox Live.
