Betting your Gamer points

Don't know if this is already done or in the pipeline, but i think it would be a cool idea if you could bet your gamerpoints. Fightnight round 3. Me V You for 100 points?? If you quit, you lose your points. Maybe the powers that be should start fining people gamerpoints if they quit.......

Thats a dumb idea. It would be ok if you could actually do something with your gamer points like trade them in for arcade games or themes or whatever. But since they are pretty much useless, whats the point.

i wish that would happen. i now want microsoft points more than ever since there is movie downloads available. its a good idea, i dont see it happening though.

You say it's dumb. Cool. The reason why it's not dumb is it would give people some kind of reward for winning. Give the losers who have no life and play 24/7 something to get excited about. No need for you to be so up yourself now is there?

I can understand the betting aspect of it. It's not the greatist idea and MS will never do it. But, it would be cool to earn points for arcade games and other marketplace items through acheivements

It's a good idea. But yeah, Microsoft would definitely catch hell for it, and would never happen. But it would be sweet to be online late one night when the store is closed and be short 50 points of a certain episode off the marketplace and you could play a quick game of Gears to get the points.

Look personally i like the idea. I mean come on they serve no real purpose other wise. There should be a way to choose your game option either to wager or not . Its not money they would be betting so it shouldnt be illegal , Its kinda like down here in fl it is illegal to gamble except in certain areas but there are casino/arcades that play the same games as a normal casino does but instead of winning $money$ you win a gift card to a place of your choice that there connected to ( walmart,target,homedepot,pepboys,etc.) in the amount you won. Which in turn makes it legal any where. So i dont think if MS were to do some type of wager system of our points it would be illegal . Now on the other hand i do think it would be tough to monitor and track all of it and i dont think they would want to get into something that deep. Just My Opinion tho .

it's a cool idea, just not practical. you know there will be people who say it would be promoting gambling(which is OK in moderation) and there will be a XBox 360 boycott, and it would lose money for MS

I think they were thinking of doing it so you could buy content, but thought against it.

DO you mean gamer points or microsoft points. It would be cool if you could bet microsoft point because its kinda like betting money

Gamerscore. The MS Point thing was discussed over a table of Texas Hold 'Em, me and some buddies where kicking back and started talking about MS points being used to gamble online, i am sure 666.com would like to get a bit of that action.
