GOW on insane

Anybody beat GOW on insane yet? And if you did did you play the whole thing by yourself or with a friend on co-op. I played through the entire campaign on insane but once i got to raam i had a friend help because Dom kept getting killed, and getting in my way. It really helped to have someone that wasnt retarded AI.

I beat it on insane, but needed a friend to help in a couple of parts because i got fed up with the A.I. on my team. It was mainly towards the end parts especially with Raam.

I read on xbox.com if you beat it on insane you get a gamer pic that unlocks.

I checked and i found a pic that looked new but im not sure if thats the free one I downloaded when Gears first came out or if its from beating it on insane. Its got a pic of Marcus and in the background it has a red gear.

I beat RAAM on insane by myself. Not easy. Took me over an hour and half worth of tries.

Sometimes you can hope for him to get stuck on one the cubes you are duckng behind. Then you get soem free shots in before he moves again.

I am doing it by myself right now and I am stuck on act 3 in that room before you get to the carts it’s full of wretches. Did anyone else have a problem with this part?

It took me about 2 tries to get past that. You just have to keep diving when they get near. Try to have the shotgun equipped too, it helped when i went back into the room that i first came out of and waited for them to go through the door and as they come in just blast the crap out of them.

I'm on insane as well and stuck Act 5:Train Wreck.
I'm trying to kill all the Reapers with the chain gun with very little luck.
I did better with the Torque Bow on my own but I know I'll need it to kill RAAM later on.

Any hints?

IF you need to drop the torque bow or use some of the ammo dont worry there is another torque bow on the last car before you have to fight raam.

That part SU-U-UCKS.

I used a mix of TB arrows and running to the chain gun. I think I had to kill the first two before I could get there, and once there, died a lot. That part is really crappy playing alone.

Here's a cheat though, if you really can't get by and have no one to co-op with, you can bump it down a level, just that checkpoint, and then bump it back up. You still get the board done on Insane.

I found that by accident one day playing with a buddy. Did one section (checkpoint to checkpoint) at a different level- but then bumped it back and still finished the act on insane.
Didn't really matter, since I've done it all since, but just thought it was interesting.

In order to play insane, do you have to beat the game on the two easier levels? I started the game on the "medium" setting. Insane is not even available to me yet?

You have to beat it on casual or hardcore to unlock insane.

Now I'm stuck at RAAM but I only played that part for like 15 min.

Something else to add... If you beat it on Hardcore without playing Casual you get the achievement for both Harcore and Casual. Or if you go from Casual to Insane you get the achievement points for hardcore.
