Over 3 weeks in advance! This seems far-fetch, are you sure those arn't just display boxes? (no ofence)

I wouldn't think that stores would get the units in 25 days before it launches. Usually, stores receive systems the week that video games start coming in. Which would be 1-2 weeks before the launch.

None the less, good find, and I'm sorry if I came of as rude.

This wouldn't be the only allotment they would be getting. Saying that it's still a month before launch, we can bet that their going to receive more. That is to say, if they really have them in now. Which, I guess, wouldn't come as to much of a surprise. I mean, the Kiosks are in walmart stores, and the controller is at Best-buy.

yeah I would highly doubt that MS would just ship 40 units to ever store the day before launch...lol...get real. I do believe its MS way of rationing out the systems they have as of NOW...then going back through and shipping again to pin point proper quantity to each area. You wouldn't ship 50 360 to the middle of no where and the same to a Chicago store would ya? So I believe they are just trying to appease as many customers as possible by focusing the supply and demand...

As long as the local Gamestop gets more than 16 units, I'll be happy. If they only get 16, then I know I am screwed as all the Gamestop employees and their cronies will get them first.

Aside from the photographical evidence, do we have any sort of press release from Msoft verifying this? And if it is true, does anyone have a ski-mask and crow-bar that I could borrow?

yep you gotta cycle out shipments as you can. if you wait till the last minute you pretty much guarantee to upset a lot of customers. Because mixups in shipping WILL happen. So better to start shipping early that way if something does go arry they can fix it and get the units to the right place in enough time before launch so that they have less instances of people being left out of getting their consoles who preordered. Now we'll have to see if there are reports of people stealing them out of warehouses or storage before launch

which sounds like we may see Grindstone on the news trying to break into one ^_^; haha be careful man! if you get caught though be sure to have a "planetxbox360.com" sign flying so we know its you!
Otherwise noone would be dumb enough to sell one as they know MS would be able to sue the hell out of them.

I can assure each and every one of you that they are just display boxes, my own store has a multitude of them, just as they have sent us display boxes for the controllers and games. Ill make sure you guys are the first to know when we actually get in the real stuff, but the closest thing we have right now is our kiosk.

Gamestopdude...Why post and tell us there not real!? Na, I figured as much. The boxes look a little large, and gamestop likes to have box pyramids on display.

those are display boxes. why would gamestop risk the consoles getting stolen from a shop when they have warehouses across the country to store consoles and games under surveilence. Plus look at premium boxes they are gonna fall over soon cause the bottom one is empty.

The Gamestop I've pre-ordered told me that they are getting enough systems to fullfill their 1st shipment reserve, which is 15 Premium.
I was also told that I'm on the first shipment. WHOOOHOO!

i was at my gamestop yesterday, and they had 40 display boxes stacked up all over the store.

over 3 weeks before launch, i doubt they have them.

now if this was posted in 1 1/2 to 2 weeks, i would believe it
