Default Xbox 360 Mag

Pretty good for those without Xbox Live and it does offer a demo disc each month with plenty of demos on. They do not really ask for much for a years subscription and best of all each disc will give you a access code that lets you see previews of games before they hit the next edition of the magazine and updates every day.

Check out

Xbox 360 - The Official Magazine - Subscriptions

They even have there own forums to which is worth a visit.

I bet they are lot of people on these forums that had no idea that the Xbox 360 had an official mag.

i honestly wonder how magazine's do well these days. I mean any review/preview etc. is available for free online. It is quite cool to get demo's and what not with it i guess. Man i haven't bought a magazine in many a year.

Yeah, I have a subscription to Game Informer through GameStop, but it covers all platforms and makes for good reading. The OXM with the demo/trailer discs would be good for someone not on live or for those who like their demos/trailers on disc. The articles can be good, but I look at them month by month to see if there is anything I want to read....the demos and stuff I will get off of live.

It was a great mag before I got XB live. Now I don't need it anymore so I cancelled it.
I still have the 1st 24 demo discs for the standard X Box.

I get EGM, Game Informer and OXM because I spend a lot of time bored in airports. All are pretty good IMO. I did not give much thought to the disk when I subscribed to OXM but even though Live reduces the importance to some extent, they still sometimes give you stuff that you would need to use points for otherwise. Their podcast is pretty good too, not as good as this one of course.

Well wonder no more. Its pretty handy to have a mag to read when you are commuting. yeah you could use a laptop but they arent convenient.

I agree 100%. magazines keep me occupied during my down times at work and on road trips, and dont forget bathroom breaks.

I too like to get actual magazines for the down times at work. I currently get about 5 different ones that I have subscriptions to, and probably buy another 3-5 a month at the airport. For me I would rather read a magazine about stuff I am interested in then a book. I just finished this months EGM and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The article on PS3 with Phil was great. Next month is supposed to be on MS and the XBox 360, so I am looking forward to that.

I do wish they would offer it with out the disk for a cheaper price. I don't need/want the disk so why do I have to pay $10?

LOL-Totally agree. As long as there are toilets there will be magazines.

I get OXM too. I have enjoyed it so far but rarely use the disc since I have Live. I just give them to people at work that do not have Live so they can have some new demos to check out.

If you order the mag through a school fundraisers it is cheaper and does not include the monthly game disc. If you subscribed with one of these and want to upgrade, you can for an extra $1 per issue for each remaining issues.

Been reading EGM from issue #1 (My wife made me toss out all my issues I had!) OXM and GI are the only other 2 I subscribe to.
