The fact that the dead are rising isn't the problem in Capcom's new game for the XBox 360. Instead, it's that the text is shrinking.

Dead Rising players have brought some attention to this tiny text phenomenon, which hampers the reading of quest objectives and annoys others who simply want to enjoy the full impact of everything the game has to offer, on Capcom's bulletin boards.

Luckily, a Capcom BBS administrator addressed the gamers' complaints and told them that everyone that could be informed to fix the matter was told. As WickedKitty, the BBS admin writes:

Dear Everyone, I have heard your concerns and passed them to every source within Capcom possible. I feel your pain as I, myself, have a large SDTV and am having trouble reading the mission objectives, item names, etc.

I'd like you all to know we have heard your concerns and take them seriously. I have been seeing campaigns on other forums to send hundreds of emails to our support email. Unfortunately this doesn't expedite or increase the importance of the concern in any way, but it does take time and resources from other fans' equally deserving concerns. All concerns are always important to us and we do what we can.

We also would like you to know that we appreciate your feedback as the game was just released and it's feedback from our fans and gamers that make our games great. We appreciate your continued support of Capcom products!

Hopefully, this will mean a patch fix will be up for free downloads soon, unless Capcom wants irate gamers to be rising up against them, in addition to the dead. We'll let you know about the release of a patch fix as soon as we get word of it. Till then, sit tight, and keep those guns at the ready.

i got a better fix. GET AN HDTV! Its more expensive but you wont have problems like this. The text is perfectly legible and crisp on my tv. Or, wait for a patch.

Yeah i have a HD tv and its perefect on mine.Capcom should have fixed this problem before the game came out i would have been pissed if i still had a SDtv.

I do have a standard tv and it is so hard to read. I cannot read the scoop missions without getting close to the tv. I hope that they fix it.

I dont think its your t.v then. I think its your eyes. By looking at the way you spelled "yext", that is the conclusion ive come to, or is there something wrong with the text on this message board or your computer as well....lol

I dont have an HDTV and I dont think the text is that bad. It really is being blown out of proportion, IMO.

well of course you think that if the text appear normal on your screen. if you played on my tv you would have a different opinon.It is HD, but not very good.... the text is blurred. AND NO its not me, i have excellent vision, i can even read the very bottom line at the optomotrist!!!!jerks

I have a hard time reading it and its very annoying. I hope they come out with a patch soon. I dont have enough money to go get an HDTV, so that option is not available for me.

I have a normal t.v. so reading it is a chore. I just want to get on with things but I sometimes end up confused about what I'm supposed to do because I can't read the prompts.

i've had a lot of problems reading it...but usually that text all says the same crap anyways

"There is a security room that is safe, I could take you there..."
"Really? I don't know, I don't trust you..."
"Trust me...I'm a photo-journalist...."
"Ok, lets go. Hold my hand?"

yes i to have a problem reading the text and i think its pretty stupid paying 60 some odd dollers and cant even read the story line for the game so they better come out with something fast does anybody have any idea when they are goin to come out with the patch if so about how long ???

I play my x box on one of them old portable tv's.... it is all I can afford after buying all these great games! I have a problem even seeing the zombies.

Ha! Just kidding! I just got my 360 and this is the first game I will buy... not even gonna rent it first. Who cares about what the text says? I hate zombies and will love cutting them to peices especially in a mall! I also hear you can shop for new clothes! I love doing that too!

I saw this preview on some web site where that guy finds a samari sword and now have to have it! I bet thats a hanzo sword! where do I find this thing when I by this game on Friday??

i just bought me a brand new hdtv 46 in screen and i still have problems reading the text does anybody know if they are goin to fix it or not
