Posts: 41 | HD vs. TV I've always wonderied there was a big difference or a little difference between the hd xbox 360 or the regular tv xbox 360 i mean just that little flick of that switch makes it looks better? im not sure i've heard plenty of things about it as its not a difference at all or its a big difference or there the same. now all im asking is for a little feedback on people who have used 360 on an hd tv and tell me how good or bad or the same it is. also for the people who have regular tv's.

Posts: 14 | I have been playing the Xbox 360 upstairs in my room. Today, I brought it down into the living room where we have a big screen HDTV.
15 times better. Enough said.

Posts: 841 | I have never used it on a SDTV before. But I can say it looks pretty sweet on a 50" HDTV. Good luck~

But, anyway, it still looks good on a standard, old t.v.

The fact is the 360 on normal tv is not next-gen some of the game on HD still look crap but most look great.

| And most people answered, Yes it does look better on an HDTV. That does not mean it still can't look good on a SDTV (Standard Definition TV). But as it is a next gen system with HD games. It looks better on a HDTV.
It has nothing to do with being "a cool kid". Has to do with answering the question.

Posts: 841 | Most people use the component cables that came with it (premium). If your TV has a input for them you can also try the VGA cables. There has been a lot of debate over what ones do better. Personally I think it depends more on your TV and its settings then anything.
FYI- if you end up with one that supports 1080p (and you should) the only way to get full 1080p is via the VGA cables. Although this really only makes a difference with the add on DVD player rather then in games.
Good luck~

Posts: 3,173 | I've played on about five HD's (one with vga), and it's damn overrated. It's not worth it, all people are just saying it's awesome to justify paying 100's of $ for a tv. And of course they want to feel good about their purchase, so they start to imagine things, like HD is 10 times better.
I wanted a HDTV, but when I saw how crappy it was I decided to **** the HDTV and get a sweet, sweet MacBook instead. |

If you had a HDTV you would know youre only saying that cause you aint got one, you may feel there overrated but to say there ***** is another thing.
People wouldnt spend lots of money on HD tellys if they thought there was no difference.
