My view on Crackdown Demo

I was very skeptical with this game at first. I had not seen any pics or videos of it. I figured that the reasoning for the Halo 3 beta to be pushed onto it was to sell the game. But this game is definetly worth buying.

There is so much to do, and the co-op was awesome. Me and a buddy were just tearing up the city doing whatever. Only bad thing about the demo is that there is a timer after you level up too much.

And this game is in no way imitating the GTA series like Saints Row did. Its its own game and genre entirely.

But riding around with my buddy on the roof of the car is hilarious(they can ride in the car as well).

So I would encourage you guys to download this thing and try it out. Its definetly worth it.

Im thinking about getting it but i am poor atm. If i buy it, it wont be for the beta because i already have been accepted. While waching the trailer, i did want to play the game cuz its like gta but ur guy is more high tech.

Its really cool. At least try renting it. I am always critical of games, and this one, from what was given to me in the demo, is really cool.

I read somewhere that the timer is set to 1 hour reguardless of how high you level up. Like the message in the beginning said for the demo is has an accelerated leveling up but its just an hour no mater what you do. I know I was getting into it too then saw the count down from 5 minutes. Pretty fun game. Plus I heard that if you buy it you can "for sure" play the Halo 3 beta , not if you were lucky enough (what everyone was being told)

well, when you get to the 2nd lvl of any stat the countdown begins for 30mins till end. I played for a good while before getting to lvl 2 on any stats, and im sure i played well over an hr

Doesn't matter which you do,every copy of Crackdown comes with a Halo 3 beta invite.

No your wrong every copy comes with the beta atleast for the first few months.

the 100% way to get it is to PREORDER. you still have time, go do it if your worried about it!!
once the game is out, there will be a LIMITED amount of copies availible. Once they r gone, they r gone. There is no timetable on it.
chill out peeps, its not gonna kill ya if ya dont get into the H3 beta..

(of course i might kill ya if i dont get a copy w/ an invite on it!)

sony said it'd be $90, and $10 a week doesnt go far

could have sworn it's been stated that the initial allotement of Crackdown will have it in them...guess we'll find out next month.

yes, the very first shipment of crackdown will have the beta stuff in it. It will only be a limited amount though. It may last a day, a week, or a month, there is no timeline, just an amount.

Easy, its been posted around here and is probably on the official page. If you go to a preorder place like EB they will tell you the same.

after hearing the initial startup voice, i stoped thinking about taking it seriously. I think that really made me like it more. Think of it more as a purposely cheesy cross between robocop and 007. Its great fun if you let it sink in and dont take it too seriously.
