gears of war 2 predictions

i was wondering what everyone is predicting the gears of war 2 story would be about...

i think it will either be a prequel about how marcus ended up in prison or just the queen locust rebuilds her army but that would be kind of repetative(sp)

Of course, Marcus saves the day, and they throw him back in prison. That makes sense. No really, not a single hint of saracsm there.

To be honest the story in Gears is pretty crap... But meh, I just wanna blast some Locust. Although Gears bores me... Too simple and meh. Anyway, the "queen" will probably launch an attack, you kill som Locust, you meet the queen, and she tells you how the humans ****ed everything up for the Locust, bla bla bla, you kill them all. Tada.

and work with other locust to re create the army against the humans

By the way. I think Marcus and Anya will fall in love with each other. In act 4 when they are about to enter the house, Anya says "Marcus, theres something i have to tell you." And Marcus says "Not now." So i think they're in love.

Umm... no.... I disagree with you there. I'm pretty sure what she had to tell him she told him about 2 minutes later when she said there was seismic activity and all.
But playing as Locust would be cool like chrishantman said. I think that should come out after we're done playing as COG though. Kind of like a game similar to Halo Wars.

bah, ul go further into the earth, into the heart of the locust and see their civ. maybe we will get glimpses of this "queen" we heard from, and some blasts to the past. More than likely there will be some sort of character switch.
Problem is, the story wasnt very well fleshed out at all. It was more of a tech demo to sell the UT3 engine.. and from all reports, it has done just that. Dont get me wrong, it was incredible looking, and it was very solid play, but there wasnt a real story in it.. They could do pretty much anything w/ the game because the original details were so sketchy, but its gonna be hard to not do something htat hasnt been done before.

The destroyed cars in the game aren't very impressive looking, in fact they look like crap. For the time and detail spent in modeling, buildings, environment...you would think the things you use for cover and constantly have to look at would be more real looking.

ugh CoD3. Now there is a perfect example of how NOT to make a great sequil. Give it to another company to develop, n let em mess it up a bit. CoD2 was great. CoD3 was a dissapointment.

Maybe im just gettin tired of this over used and over extended WW2 game crap. Collect every WW2 reinactment game. I think weve covered every major, minor, and made up battle now.. can we... MOVE ON?!?!

I do agree about the white vans as cover. They really look quickly produced. The cars arent so bad tho.

Marcus gets thrown into prison because he disobeyed orders when he tried to save his father. I'm not sure why this would need to be any more fleshed out than that. Maybe build on some of the comments made in the House of Sovereigns. Other than that I'm going to have to agree with Don Rico..
